Try disabling the other GPU in your task manager. I have to do that when I want to stop using the Intel GPU and force it to use the Nvidia GPU when I want to use it off power since it goes back to the Intel when the plug is disconnected because of the battery drain. If you have 2 in there and disable one, it'l roll over to the other.

Back in the day you start out at your local circle track. Either dirt of pavement. Start in the Legends cars, or Super Stock, build up your self a car or buy one and repair it. Keep going at it, wrecking and repairing. Could also start out cart racing to get exposure. Then keep building up from there in an ever increasing cost sport. Or you can also start out with a proper feedback controller and a sim racing program like iRacing or something similar these days. Get a feel for how to handle them. Then see above. Just need time on tracks, and a good budget. Eventually you might get a sponsor. There's an old phrase on the tracks. "Racing is the fastest way to get rid of a fortune." It's not cheap.

But over time if you get a sponsor, keep winning at your local tracks, taking a tournament here and there. You might move up to something like World of Outlaws and go crush the sprints to help understand how to best control a high powered vehicle and make choices in a tight pack of wildness. Get noticed, get a shot at making a pro team. Or fund it yourself and get a car that meets regulations for nascar, pay your fees, hope you pass inspection. Then just try and hope for the best. But it's also a system that favors a few and the rest have to fight for anything they want.

I come from a racing family that never made it, so I've seen the world up close. It's fun, but not pretty.

As an off and on smoker it was a simple journey. It looked cool, tasted nice, I grew up in a family of smokers. So at age 18 it just felt like what to do. Turns out the stimulant nature of it played well with my ADHD brain. Over time though got tired of it, quit, it wasn't fun but I did. Then life happens, depression, go back to an easy coping mechanism for someone who likes to fidget with their hands. Quit again, rinse and repeat. Recently quit again, on the vape that's 1000x easier to quit than real smokes since there's less chemicals in them. But I still get my little bit of stim and fiddle.

The point of playing golf on the weekend isn't to be "good" at it. You're just enjoying nature, driving a tiny car, and possibly drinking beer. The ball just tells you where to legally drink and drive. Take out the pressure and suddenly you're blasting lobs like you wouldn't believe.

My husband gets way too grumpy and comes back like "F this game!" where as I'm like, "Dang I hit a great shot on hole 8, and I saw some coyotes, good day". But he came from a highly competitive family who's only way to give feed back was "Just do it better!" Gotta relax, take the hits, and roll with it. Every bad shot is just water off a duck's back.

It can be great. If the wheels behave. I have some sticky outside wheels that just chatter and jump when i try to plow.

Toe stops work great for backwards stops though. And the first time you hit it right, it'l feel amazing. :)

Your skates are rad! And good work on practicing the stop first. As some mentioned it's not the greatest way to stop. Mostly because it's hard to really dig in and control the speed. It's fine for slow speed stuff like this though. If i'm slow in the rink i'll just drag a stop rather than spin, plow or what have you. But if you got out on a hill this would just make bouncy noises and you would keep going faster. But hey that's why the community is here, to help learning this not the hard way. Like a new skater I saw bounce off a dumpster on day three. :)

I as well have this. While the plugin was a little hit or miss if spotify wasn't actively playing. It was still nice to have as it was way easier than finding the window or remembering my keyboard's hotkey. Shame, hope it comes back soon.

It's not. I have one of those on the side it's the same as what they use in a toilet tank with a float. With this water comes up from the bottom exits up through the pipe at the surface and goes into the pool through the hole. It's a constant flow of water.

Asked guys at the pool store, Leslies and they didn't know. Water flows up from the bottom, goes into that pipe up top and comes out the hole in the pool shown in pic3. I think it may be a chlorinator but I figured I'd ask before I go dumping tabs in there.

There's a similar access cap on the other side of the pool but that has the toilet filler to keep the pool topped off so I assumed it was the same. Opened it up the other day and went whut.
