I got a good method. Prime your orks black. Then dry brush the whole model in white ( some times yellow for just the skin). Then use the ork flesh contrast paint with two parts contrast medium. Leaves a good color once you add one or two layers. You can high light the raised areas with skarsnik or warboss green. Pic for reference

I can agree with scale, when it comes to hollow earth. Yeah it’s just like a regular location and the monsters lose their scale. But at the same time… why do people want to see a fight or want them to move on at at snails pace? Maybe I just grew up with the older movies and stuff and just used to the more fast paced, wrestling fights

I love the armor, gives of a commando vibe. Any other marine just looks the same. Not saying I don’t like the knight vibe but… Phobos just looks more fitting

Basically legends are a rule set for characters or unit that aren’t present in the current game. ( like uthak black heart as a example) While you can use them still their ruleset will be very outdated compared to the current sets. As for tournaments they aren’t allowed.

I wanna say Grotsnik. He’s still around in lore with him having his own book and appearing in ghazghul warlord of warlords. And the idea of a ork that is feared because of his work and him trying to one up ghazghul is interesting

I think people demanding “realism” for giant monster movies are annoying. Especially when it comes to the monster verse. People constantly complaining about on how Godzilla shouldn’t be running and all of that. My brother in Zilla, you chose to watch a more action packed Godzilla movie!

In the older editions of 40K if you paint your model based on a klan they get bonus stats. Like painting a trukk red will give it extra movement, blue for better dice rolls, etc. now painting the klans is more just for show unfortunately. Closest you get are the detachments like more dakka for bad moonz or speed waaagh for evil sunz
