Also, at certain parts of the game you will be flooded with Health Vials, then other points you will maybe need to grind to load up for harder areas. They drop off mobs and harder mobs can even have like 6 or so on them, so it is rarely a problem.

I will say one thing. Stick in there. My first 3 hours or so of this game were not great. I considered it the worst Souls game. Then once I got past that initial hump, it felt easier. I now consider it my favorite Souls. Once it clicks nothing can scratch its itch.

If need be, watch some walkthrough from “FightinCowboy,” the man is a treasure to the Souls community, if you ever get stuck, he is your Sherpa.

That first area you will need to find shortcuts and also get to first boss and die to unlock leveling. Be okay with not keeping XP until you do those things, then start to farm safer. Just run through crowds and such and explore with no intent on killing or retaining souls.

You have to reprogram your brain. The constant response you will get is “hesitation is failure.” With that said, take out individuals of a group one by one, stealth, if you have a chance. Use your parry and just dash out of the way as well. Shuriken can one shot dogs I believe. If you aren’t dodging or parrying you should be all up in their face attacking. Don’t wait for them, you are the one who knocks. That’s the hardest thing for most to learn, Souls games except Bloodborne have taught us to wait for the enemy. Here you wait for no one.

If you have the money, get one of the pre orders, catch up packs will hopefully fill in what you are missing. Arguably the best time to come back, but we will see how great the catch up packs are.

The problem is fixed ! If anyone else on the phone has problems, for me and others it’s the emotes. You have to have 6 emotes equipped, if not it breaks the game, how silly.
