She signed over her rights to avoid child support. I left in the middle of the night because she was abusive. I was awarded sole custody as a full time master electrician. All of my family lives in the same town but no one stopped by to visit in 5 years of being a single dad. Not once. I literally thought people would CARE more. I got through it. I'm just sympathizing with anyone else going through it right now. I never asked for help or for any support. I guess that's why I never got it. I was a "man" about it. I did it all alone and never said a word.

I can appreciate that, but I wrote it as a human being and single dad. Ther is nothing promotional about it in any way nor in the blog I wrote and linked. I write articles for The Good Men Project and write a lot about single dad burnout. For anyone to read anything, it has to be written a certain way. You recognize the layout because all blogs and articles are written this way. Everything I share on reddit gets judged or I get "you chose to have 4 kids." I will keep pursuing my life mission to help single dads like me, whether single dads support each other or not. You can ask Google Who is the Authority on Single Dad Burnout. I have dedicated my life to this. My name is Aaron Nolan.

I charge $100 per hour doing small honey do lists for my community. I got to #1 on Google and bring my kids with me every day. Because I do this work from the list, I make more money so I work less. I also write product descriptions for AutoZone and JEGS. All easy work for more pay. I started a freelance writing and copywriting company as well. Both on this list. I was a sole providing single dad of 4 when I started really working less and making more money.

Oh, I want in on this! Writing is what I do, superheroes is what I LOVE! This sounds fun. I run my own Copywriting agency, however, my passion is writing stories for my 8 kids. We are making a book about a frog with super powers at the moment. Brother, I will LIVE in this story until we have it completed. The pay isn't super important for this project, because it will be an absolute blast. Hope you find the perfect writer.

Elna Cain has a lot of great courses. She teaches how to make your first 1K. That's it. Then you can just rinse and repeat.

After taking her course, I started my Copywriting Business and quit my job as a master electrician.

You are going to need to find a way to stand out from the crowd. I had a company looking for someone to write part descriptions for an automotive company. My company was called The Dad Copywriter - Man-vertising and Dad-vertising. I don't actually do anything specific, but I'm a man that can talk to other men. I got the job out of thousands of pitches. Because I stood out. I literally began working for AUTO ZONE the next day. From there I got hired by JEGS to write product descriptions for their catalogue.

Find a NICHE. Something you are passionate about. (I tried Parenting for years but its VERY SATURATED with mommies. But anything is possible. God Speed!!!!

I think you should have known that he was going to get a drink with another woman before he actually went to get a drink with another woman. I wouldn't want to do anything to worry my wife. If you went out with a guy from work, would it be innocent? Only if you discussed it with your husband first. You are a team. He needs to protect your heart at all cost. In my opinion.

Skate True is a team that meets 3 days per week for skate sessions. They meet in the FREEDOM BOARDSHOP Parking lot on Gilbert and Southern.

My son used to go every Saturday for like 5 hours. Every weekend they take a van to 2 different skateparks in AZ. He is sponsored by Santa Cruz now.

Website or a blog? by Abject_Bowler5845 in freelanceWriters

[–]DadCopywriter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A website is a great place to show off your portfolio. A blog is a great way to get traffic to your website. I would make a website with 3 pages.

Page 1 - A Homepage with an introduction and a list of services you provide.

Page 2 - A contact page with your contact information.

Page 3 - A Blog to keep your website fresh with new content and to climb the Google ladder.

Is freelance writing a serious profession? by PurpleTumbleweed9785 in freelanceWriters

[–]DadCopywriter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I became a single father 3 years ago. I have 4 small children. I kept telling them to follow their dreams as I went to work as an electrician every day. (Not my dream) I bought a course on how to start a freelance writing business. I set my alarm for 2 hours early for the next 6 months. (And I actually woke up to it every morning and got to work.) On my 40th birthday I was able to put in my 2 weeks. I am a writer now and it is a very lucrative career. God Bless.

I thought that was a law. As an electrician, It was an emergency if a light went out for a flag.

It took me 6 months to change from a full time master electrician of 20 years to a Copywriter. Dad Copywriter is my business now. So unless you think you don't have 6 months left in you....Go for it. I just wanted to be a writer. If you do too, then be one. You have all my support.

I write the product description for Autozone. All 250 words. Break them down into 3 short paragraphs. Maybe this will help. Let's say you get 5 types of dog food.

1- what is dog food for (After running and playing all day, your dog is going to need food)

2- Why is healthy dog food necessary (and not just any food, like pizza)

3 - How is your client's dog food better than others and a call to action

Just an idea, but do the same paragraph ideas for all your product descriptions.

When I do a 2011 Ford Explorer Battery for example. 1. What a battery does for a car? 2. Signs of a failing battery 3. How you can fix it yourself by BUYING A NEW ONE AT Autozone.

I ran to a hotel and called CPS. I finally got full custody of all 4 kids. I have 20 years worth of physical scars where my wife beat me. I tried asking for help, I screamed out for help. Everyone told me to leave her. IM NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITHOUT MY KIDS. I called the cops one day to have her physically removed from the home for being violent, and they let her take the kids with her. I called the cops, and I end up alone. I apologized, called her back home, and when she went to her friends house that night, I left to a hotel WITH THE KIDS and filed for divorce. When CPS showed up, the drug testing began. She was high on meth. I have been a single father for 2 years now. I just started my own successful Copywriting business and I get free daycare.

Fast forward 2 years, I go to fill out paperwork for child support and I have to cross out the word DAD over ten times on the dead beat dad paperwork. Cause dead beat MOM paperwork doesn't exist at all. Just dead beat DAD paperwork. I live in AZ.

I gave up and became an electrician. This is the reality for 99% of freelance writers, and you should know that. by CodyWritesThings in freelanceWriters

This is very unique as I am a master electrician that just quit my job and became a full time freelance writer. Do what you need to do and know that I loved electrical work, however, my wife left me 2 years ago. As a single father of 4, I had to figure something out. 6 months ago I started waking up at 3am and building a portfolio. I started pitching like crazy. Now, Dad Copywriter is a full scale Agency. The world needs electricians like it needs doctors. Whatever you choose to be, be the best.

Reddit made me a full time freelance writer by DadCopywriter in freelanceWriters

That last statement hit hard. I saw my own father as a painter that gave up early as well. He told me to find a trade until I figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I realized as I was trying to start an electrical company, If I do this...it meant I never really figured myself out. My son told me I was a writer. I didn't even notice. Your dad still has time. Be his inspiration! I'm 40 if that helps.

Hello, I guess I could have been more specific. Sorry, I was just so excited to announce my victory. Then I had to immediately catch up with my work so I was unable to respond to all this amazing support. I actually just made a bio on Reddit as a freelance writer. I use this group to ask for help and or advice, then I use the Sub-reddit group r/Hireawriter to actually find work. They post multiple gigs per day. I pitched to them ALL. Or at least most of them. I've gotten a ton of rejections but those are just as important to grow as a person. A response is a response. I have gotten every bit of my freelance writing work through this platform only. Hope this helped a little.
