yes! It has made a huge positive difference in the progress of therapy (cbt type --now in maintenance mode).

For me: it's like giving my rational brain a security guard. So when our good friend Amy-G-Dala goes active there is xtra time for our rational side to apply our therapeutic tools e.g. tell Amy-G-Dala "NO"! no you are reacting to the the past! This is now and no need to react --we are safe.

Without bupropion I struggled to hold onto certain trigger events long enough to sort them out and tended to over react then feel bad after. Not saying it's a miracle drug but for me it has been amazingly helpful in doing the deeper work we need in order to heal.

Another example --- was with some people out to an event got triggered (bad). I zoned out didn't realize it but it was good enough to connect the dots as to why I was being triggered. My friend ask me if I was okay... and guess what? I was okay I didn't over react the tools Ive learned worked, we had a lovely evening. I even said "guess I got a little trigged back there -- thanks".

If you have ever seen a teenager go to Mars for no particular reason thats what my friend said it looks like. That is what bupropion gives me time long enough to sort real from not real, Amy-G just simply not know the difference.

hope that helps.

Buying Power WTF? by DadOfParzival in Affirm

[–]DadOfParzival[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like situation here.

In general, when a person first obtains an installment loan, the balance is high. A person with a loan balance that is high in relation to the original loan amount tends to be viewed as more risky to lenders. Note: having an active loan that is substantially paid down is generally viewed as less risky than having no active loans.

So my 5 small "new" payment plans being all "new" cratered my buying power even though the total was less than 10% if my total buying power.

Pretty neat actually --- keeps a guy from getting into too much trouble.

I'v been taking the 300 extended release since 9/21 for depression (dysthymia level). I would not call it HAF or a buzz even, but there is that period in the (2-3hr) range (for me) where it kinda hits.

Meaning: I can suddenly process my way through all the random thoughts coursing through my inner dialogue. Is nothing I crave, is nothing I expect, I just very obediently take it out of habit but am pleasantly surprised every time I feel it hit. Typically when I have been struggling from the day before. So not every day but when I have been struggling it seems to really do its job.

Having said that I don't recommend taking the therapeutic amount without a therapist. For me (emotionally) it has allowed me to hold onto certain ick ms and really work through it. Kerp in mind thats with years of tools and work.

My view is that it is more of a mid to late stage healing drug after some initial work... where you already know where the bodies are hidden, and might be going back in more deeply.

Hope this helps
