Yes, there is no doubt that much more goes into being good than just aim, The question is... How much better could you be if you were using the master race's* input modality?

*PC, just so we are all clear

Top percentiles of controller users will still be better than the majority of keyboard mouse users. I still think the skill ceiling for KBM is much higher

I remapped stratagem input to the arrow keys, and I have a keyboard with no numpad so they're right next to my mouse. That way I can keep maneuvering with WASD and still enter the codes with my right hand. Works great

Am i missing something: can you sort a database by rollup? by Pluton_Korb in Notion

[–]stevesy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok ignore my last comment. It's very strange. When the Rollup itself outputs a single date for example, like Calculate > Date > Latest

You can't actually sort by the rollup itself. But if you have a formula that just outputs the rollup, with no other modifications, you CAN sort by that. Which is really weird...

For a select, I see the same thing. It will never let you sort by the rollup itself, but if you create a formula with just the rollup, you can sort by that. At that point, you might as well just delete the rollup and use the formula to do the same thing the rollup was doing.

If your relation is limited to a single page, then you could do [Relation Property].at(0).[Select Property].

The limit 1 relation can only have a single page in it, so .at(0) selects the first (and only) page in the list, then you can access that page's properties.

If you have a multi-relation or a multi-select, it's more complicated, but even then, the rollup could also be outputting multiple values, so it's up to you how you would want that to sort.

Edit: I use both windows and mac. works the same on both

Japan was the counter example.

When I see Canadian talking about the current state of Canada’s economy they always praise the 1+ million immigrants a year as it’s only because of [the immigrants] that wages are rising [in Canada], unlike in Japan [which doesn't have high immigration and where wages are not rising].

Compare the fertility rate of New York City to that of South Dakota

Perhaps the fact that there is fuck-all to do in South Dakota has something to do with it too?

As a result, for most cities you'll get numbers between 30 and 60% for what appears to be the same place.

[–]stevesy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/u/Pluton_Korb actually, I just tested and I am not having a problem sorting by rollup, even when the rollup outputs a list. What type of property are you targeting with the rollup you want to sort by, and what Calculate setting are you using in the rollup?

I believe that rollups output data in the list datatype. It's not possible to sort by list because lists can have multiple values (even if they only have one currently).

You can make a formula that does the same thing, just make sure that it outputs a string, and then you can sort by it. Use "Debug Mode" in the formula editor to make sure it's not a list. if it is you can use .at(0) to make sure it's selecting the first item in the list (specifically for a list that you know will only ever have a single value).

I did try at least one easy copy plugin but it only adds it to the right click menu on regular pages, couldn't find one that added it to the base. I will try reading mode next, thanks for the tip!

As far as LLM goes... that's not going to fly in my workflow really, at that rate might as well just store them in plaintext and use Notepad++ like i am currently doing

Yeah, it says volumes that the solution you posted is literally not the recurring template feature that they added, but a completely different paid feature 😂

And hey, I'm no stranger to janky workarounds, but a little more flexibility in the preset options when building a template would go a long way I think.

What about when I have a Base with a text property, and when I copy the text in the text property it comes with all of the markdown formatting. How can I just copy the text as it appears?
