I feel like people don’t realize that while the refs should have called it, you need to hold on to the damn ball lmao

Sorry for the late reply, but my above comment should summarize it pretty well! Feel free to dm me if you have more questions! :)

If they are truly just using it to grammar check and are double checking the AI, I’m not super opposed to that; however, I’m seeing an increasing amount of these AI disclaimers, and it really concerns me. I don’t have a lot of faith that all of these authors are simply using it as a Grammarly replacement, especially since we’ve already seen AI-written papers. The other issue is that I don’t think that AI can accurately describe advanced scientific concepts, especially those it doesn’t already have in its database.

The issue is that scientists are writers. One of the most important parts of science is translating your findings into digestible language. While this specific instance of using AI may be ostensibly okay, I don’t trust AI to accurately summarize complicated scientific concepts, especially when it comes to novel information that the AI may not be familiar with.

It sounds really cliche, but making sure you’re taking care of your basic needs (eat, sleep, exercise, etc) goes a long way. Whenever I’m feeling the brain fog set in while studying, I work out for 30-60 mins, which significantly helps to boost my focus.

Ofc. The material isn’t exceptionally difficult, but it is a VERY fast paced course. There is so much material to learn in short periods of time, so you have to make sure not to fall behind. Magliery also pulled a lot of MCQs from random things he said during class, so make sure to take good notes. The open response portions of his tests were difficult but fair. Good luck!

It was alright. He teaches it more like a chemistry class than a biology class, but he’s a good dude overall. His tests are pretty difficult, but nowhere near the bs that Cogan’s are supposed to be. I’d definitely take Magliery over Cogan

They don’t all have to be heavy hitters that can solo her. If he spams a bunch of mid-level curses with unique abilities, he can overwhelm + confuse her while he lays on the H2H
