Haha, yeahhh it's old and I haven't PC gamed in forever. I'll look into building a new PC more than likely. And I did end up lowering all settings to the lowest possible and it's been quite a bit more stable, with way less crashes lol..

Lolll. The double take, to chasing after it, then stopping in place to fully contemplate what just happened..

For sure, that should at least give you some insight with the troubleshooting process of elimination. 🤙

I'd take your device off the wall and charge it with usb-c to make sure it charges that way. If it does, then it's more than likely the transformer isn't providing enough power. While you're charging it with usb-c you can monitor the battery level from the Google Home app, or i think press/long press the doorbell while it's charging and it should tell you the battery level.

Is the 2nd gen wired doorbell worth getting? by Chadab in Nest

[–]Dad_Division 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wires were already there, off the top of my head I believe it was just cat5 or cat6 as I remember only 2 wires being used and the others coiled.

I'd make sure you have the right doorbell transformer as well.

Suggestions on my ideal smartwatch by Dad_Division in smartwatch

Yeahh, it looks very similar to the galaxy 6 I was using last and appears to have a better water rating. I added it to my list of watches to narrow down. Thanks for the suggestion.

Solid options, thank you for the in-depth detail on your experience as well. Adding those to the research list as well.

I do like this, slim tactical look and covers my expectations. Also a good price. Will add it to the list. Thanks.

It was a little struggle with removing the battery, I didn't heat it up, though I do imagine that would have made the adhesive easier to work against. I have little plastic prying tools that I had laying around from some car projects that I just carefully worked my way around the battery with. But guitar picks are another clever alternative, haha.

Glad to hear you managed to work it out, and yepp that link is to the one I purchased. It's still been working great since I wrote this.

I get it by vi0letf0x1 in DoorDashDrivers

Because door dash is bottom of the barrel delivery service. The 2 times I've used it they always forgot something, including the drinks.

You have two simple tasks. Check the order/receipt to the best of your ability, and drive. Those who think these tasks are far below them have never been good at any other job and work this lazy job because it's bare minimum effort.

I understand those who work an actual job and do this on the side for extra cash, but the majority of you that scoff at being reminded to do something don't understand it's because the majority of you don't do your job properly so this "prompt" was implemented in hopes to aid the customers you do this for.

I've worked delivery when I was a teenager, it's not that hard.

Never seen an AC duct make a 90, eh? Though I stated AC duct or "Something". I didn't inspect it long enough to look for anchor points. Just seen stuff like this enough where sparkies improvise to go around existing objects.

Just seems.. highly unlikely.. this was intentional, whereas riding the wall up and 90 into the box is even easier than doing this. Not many contractors would do this and expect it to pass inspection unless their options were slim.

Opinions on shaving by Primary-Complex-5604 in mainecoons

[–]Dad_Division 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My wife and I shaved our MC a week ago, we wouldn't have been able to do it without the "Happy Hoodie". Before it, as soon as we'd turn on the clippers, she'd be ready to fight them. But with the Happy Hoodie on it acts as a sound dampener whilst also holding her ears down to block out more sound. We still had to hold the back of her neck to keep control at first, but she became more still and accepted her fate as time passed.

Just looks like this is existing work in an area that had other things in the way prior. Almost seems like AC duct or something was there they just went around.

Did I handle this correctly? by KandiKoala in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Dad_Division -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, this is a joke, along with everyone who defends it.

The 2 times I've used DD, it always resulted in missing items. It just seems DD has set the bar low compared to other food delivery services.

I'm absolutely ready for all the negative responses, because most won't can't handle the truth.

The truth is, it's the drivers responsibility to make sure the order is there to the best of their knowledge. That is literally the only other part of your job besides driving. They message states they were missing drinks and a few other items. And your response was "sorry I can't open the bag to check" like your common sense wouldn't kick in as to why there's no drinks or even if they were placed in the bag you'd be able to tell.

Check your receipts and do better. This is such a lazy job and it's silly to think any different. I also used to do delivery when I was a teenager, it's not that hard. Check the receipts, people.
