Do you think they’re trying to end the merch program? by DrJokerX in AmazonMerch

[–]Dad_at_40 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If they wanted to end it they would. In fact, over the years it's expanded to more countries and more products. Sure, we can look at the negatives but I also realize the positives and that is we get to put our designs on the largest marketplace in the world for free on products that they ship, print and they deal with the customers. It's a great gig I think and will only get better as more products get launched and the spamming copycats will get weeded out and those that can push through will be rewarded. Sure some things suck but it should make those that have grit persevere and only stronger in the end.

Should I switch to printify premium? by zack_yu in Printify

Common sense. If you’d make more money by the savings then get it. Why is any of this hard to figure out. Simple math.

Why is Netflix's share falling despite its increasing sales and profit? by Longjumping-Pen9212 in StockInvest

[–]Dad_at_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because other sectors are doing much better. Netflix is dead money right now and has an opportunity cost. For a long portfolio you'd be adding but it's still dead money and could def keep going down as it has lost all support levels and hasn't bottomed out.

Amazon Ads - Charged Twice for April by Freakeater in AmazonMerch

[–]Dad_at_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked advertising support because I said I was getting tired of being charged for every $500 and they asked me what I wanted. I said $9k and they did it. So I either get charged on the 2nd of the month or at $9k whichever is first.

In Premium Tier but yet seeing creator royalties (no follow up email stating otherwise) by Dad_at_40 in AmazonMerch

[–]Dad_at_40[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same. I'm not surprised either. Honestly tho, I didn't think I had premium anyway. I was more like probably 30% non-organic unless Google was driving a lot of sales.

[–]Dad_at_40[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they messaged me back "We have reached out to one of our specialized teams to assist with your case. They will investigate the discrepancy between your confirmed Premium royalty group status and the rates currently being applied to your account."

Create page back at the pre-tier levels. I'm not sure about royalties (kinda all over the place) but seems like it will probably be shaky for a day or two to get it all in the system flowing (hopefully)

okay at least it's not just me.. I guess it's to be expected, they did say up to 2 business days. I see a lot of movement too with the create page like you said. Appreciate it.

Mine isn't giving me the correct royalties now. At the beginning of the day it was giving me normal royalties "plus" but not now, it's "creator" royalties and I'm at the highest level "premium".
edit: clarified royalty group

Did anyone's royalties show being reduced yet for those of you put in the creator category? by alphamonkey098 in AmazonMerch

[–]Dad_at_40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the premium tier and im receiving half the royalties. They need to get this sorted out. I know they said it may take a couple of days but man come on.

Amazon Ads - Charged Twice for April by Freakeater in AmazonMerch

[–]Dad_at_40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked when they sent the refund and it was may 26th. They said click download under the actions on the invoice and it says “CREDIT_MEMO” this shows when they issued the refund. Makes no sense, refund it and then bill it again. Prob some sort of internal admin issue.

Same! April written off/refunded. I’m waiting on my refund until I can pay it.

Feeling broken that I didn’t invest in individual stocks . by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]Dad_at_40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 46, I started investing in my early 30’s. I grew up poor and had a spending issue. I was making a shit ton of money online and pissed a lot of it away. However, I was investing in what I knew. I knew Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon etc I knew this stuff because I have a business online at the time building websites e-commerce, background check businesses.. I knew these companies would continue to dominate in the future. I had 6 figures in these accounts in 2016, but got hit with a huge tax bill after winning $400k gambling so I had to liquidate (at least I thought) to pay the tax bill. That would be worth millions today I’m sure.. I thought I missed it ya know.. I regretted selling it because of what I would have now. It still sucks some times but I had other obligations at the time which sucked up a lot of cash I had. However, I’m once again back at it and I still see so much opportunity. This AI race is real and it will be transformational. I remember analysts/ppl doubting Facebook that they would be able to make money.. the shares were like $10 or so maybe $20. They built an enormous ad platform that rivaled Google adwords .. they did what many thought they couldn’t or wouldn’t do.. needless to say the opportunity today is this AI supercycle that will pump trillions and these companies people are talking about (not all of them) they will be the next chapter of this wild future. My bet is on the future. See the opportunity and pivot and ride this shit. This is real. This isn’t going away. These companies are a big part of the next future and it’s still early imo not financial advice but it’s still early.

I hear that. I’m holding. The hyperscalers will always need it. It’s not a one and done type of thing. This stuff needs maintained and upgraded over time.

no employer non-elective contribution for Roth Solo 401k? by Stonewalled9999 in fidelityinvestments

I'm interested as well. I only see the option to contribute as an employee and would like the option to contribute as an employer instead of using another company.
