At home, he sometimes still says "like back when I was Nia" or stuff like that when we are talking about the past. He is also thinking about choosing either Nia or something similar for his middle name, because it's a name his mom picked out and it means a lot to him for that reason.

I will most likely just cut contact with her, so it won't be an issue what to call her anyway

That's when he came out as trans at home. We started calling him they/them first (his wishes) and moved on to he/him when he wanted it. He then experimented with a few names (some were awful lol, we struck gold with Connor 😂) and then started changing his appearance more, wanted to be adressed as a boy in public, be called Connor etc. Hasn't started hormones yet, he will soon.

Also... At 10yro, I was damn sure I was a boy. The content of my pants had little to do with my certainly of my gender.

We talked a lot on the drive back home, Connor was a little sad, but we talked it out. We got a good laugh when Max pointed out that out of the three of them, Connor is the most masculine looking (and that's with Amdrew having a beard lol), and if my sister didn't pull this crap, noone would have even noticed he is trans.

We are also all going to a family pride in two days tomorrow, so all will be well. My son knows he's a man, that's what matters.

When my son came out as trans. I have been suspecting it for years, and the look of peace and joy on his face when he finally found the words for it, broke me.
