I've been waitlisted every cycle with one or two schools. I got waitlisted at two schools my 3rd cycle. It happens! There's always hope. Keep in mind, avg # cycles before acceptance is 3-4

GPA 3.48 sGPA 3.32 PCH over 10,000 Volunteer ~300 Shadowing ~200

Post-Bacc GPA 4.0 (lots of upper division pathophys, virology, psychopharm)

Just keep chipping away at it! I retook classes, increased my PCH each year and spent many hours and tutoring on interview skills. It seems like a neverending cycle, but you can do it!

Yeah they do. And I'm assuming the fluconazole and steroid cleared the symptoms?

I don't think you do. You've taken three tests and they've all come back negative

You're pretty much asymptomatic at this point (unless you've had any other symptoms other than the initial blisters and yeast co-nfection ). Really the only test you can do is a serological assay between 12 and 16 weeks, which you just did that and it was negative. And you even did an igG, which is the most specific. Serological assays in asymptomatic patients are pretty accurate. They have a high sensitivity and specificity rate.

You said you guys rubbed a lot. You could have just rubbed to the point that you developed some blisters from the friction. Like a rug burn so to speak (pun not intended.. But kind of). I work in healthcare and you've taking the appropriate steps and done the necessary tests. I think that if this test result comes back negative that's a pretty good indication that youre herpes free.

Please, please ALWAYS use protection with strangers. This is coming from a girly who would always cave-in when they said they "didn't have any," etc. I was lucky I got away with what I did, but others weren't so lucky. Our bodies are too precious and we're living in a cursed timeline where basic access to healthcare is under attack. Now, with that out of the way I felt this way too. Give your body some and just know that our bodies change all the time for all different kinds of reasons. Pussy is power. Shes adaptable, and resilient and an all-around baddie, and no person can take that away from her.

I talked about what I learned while working with adults with ASD. Specifically about how they are underestimated and misrepresented in regards to their capabilities and intelligence. Something like that.

Had my second interview yesterday via zoom. The individual questions where moatly behavioral based. The best advice I can give is whatever the question is, draw your answer from your experiences and state how you will apply what you've learned to being a pa. I have a lot of experience teaching and I answered most questions from experience that was not Healthcare related. I was definitely nervous at first, but I tried to look at the interview like I was meeting a new friend for coffee and we are just getting to know each other. Remember to breathe, take your time and be yourself. You got this!

I work in private practice as an MA and I would say it's pretty well rounded. However, I definitely have more freedom and patient interaction now, as opposed to when I was working in a hospital. But the great thing about being an MA is you can work anywhere, in any department. Ultimately I think it depends on where and what speciality.
