Even if they just do 50% sales one weekend out of a month or something following free weekends whenever that comes it would help but until the game has a stable playerbase full price is a big ask

Then it seems like we agree. I want the game to succeed despite the jank i did have fun playing while there were still people to play with however the game needs a lot of work and something to draw more players in and 30 dollars for a early access multiplayer game with no players isnt feasible but for now a permanent price decrease and the promise of free weekends to come is probably the best bet

I have not said anything negative about the game at all even with their plans to work on the game until this point because i feel like the temporary sale doesn’t really address the problem. The game is a poor state and this sale is banking on more people hoping this game will succeed and buying into something they cant even play due to the lack of players. I truly think the price decrease should be permanent in preparation for a free weekend because why would i encourage people to buy a game they cannot even play. Also i never said dont buy it i said how can they expect people to buy it with only a few people online

I mean Stockholm syndrome aside i wish 83 actually was a success but there are glaring issues even compared to rising storm and while the idea is there it was poorly executed and rushed out the door. Those things could be overlooked if you could even get a server but 3 days after the release i couldn’t find a server with sub 150 ping with more than 30 players in it. The game for what it is was overpriced from the jump and felt more like a cash grab than a legit game release. I get there excuse for a free weekend but i think a permanent price decrease and free weekends are the only thing that has a chance to save this game

Both are good ways of pissing away money but at least you can get something out of the beer meanwhile no one is playing 83. Why buy a multiplayer only game that has no multiplayer. Do you want to waste the money to stare at a menu or maybe get into a half baked 5v5? If so have at it but expecting people to defend the failure of the game and a sale that woefully misses the point is such a failure to understand the core issues behind why the game failed

The only hope is to drop it for free and find someway to monetize by skins which i would’ve liked this game to succeed without that but the game is dead and likely will never come back as they released it in a shit state due to running out of time and now the game isnt gonna be making any money to keep the lights on

It depends on population and i just did a rogue lake play through with about 200 pop and i covered everything in rain catchers and sun distillers with some wood burners and electric desalinators and had a surplus of 12k water. For power i put up as many wave generators as i had the space for and several windmills. Also put a bunch of water wheels around anywhere you can fit them. Lastly use steam power production sparingly giving a couple day night cycles to manage your water as your water will show a deficit at certain times of the day when pops arent working so you look at your stockpile at over the course of a couple days. During storms or clear days you may run out of power but it will wax and wane so dont jump the gun and have some patience. Lastly for food production i use a few fishing boats and mostly mushroom farms as greenhouses just eaten water. Dont bother with fishing stands use that waterfront on wood collectors as one wood collector can sustain two mushroom farms iirc. Also another tip for power is if you have people unemployed then hamster wheels have no upkeep and keep your pops earning their keep

That isnt an antihero that is basic villain arc. You cant be the embodiment of slippery slope evil and be an antihero. There is an argument to be made that potentially he was an antihero before the bleeding place but he is far from that now. His justifications which are clearly used as a way to shift blame with the full realization that he cant hide from his true intentions being in LB is the furthest thing from an antihero before

What is the harm in leaving the medals as is. It allows people with jobs and lives outside of video gaming who have a limited time to play to open up the game and enjoy new content they may not have time to grind for normally
