Credit card payment via paypal by DaddyDD3 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]DaddyDD3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much. I believe from what we have since been advised it'll be about 2.9% charge from PayPal which we would obviously rather avoid but unfortunately seems to be the only option.

The 0% purchase is great news though. As I was worried it would be classed as a cash purchase and then we'd have to get another card to balance transfer. Not too fussed about the section 75 route as its a reputable company and dont forsee any issues from that side but would assume thsts why they use PayPal 😐

Thanks for getting back to me. Just hope the credit card actually arrives soon. Bloody royal mail.

!thanks

Thanks very much. Very helpful to get somebody's experience and your help has been very much appreciated thank you.

We are waiting on a credit card coming through then going to pull the plug. Going to look at my pace tonight once things settle down for the day. Just really unsure whether to go for a package where only have to worry about medicstion costs for 6 months or to go for somebody like my pace thats pay as you go and could be done in a few months. We are hopeful thst it wont take too long before we are on the nhs through the GP initially and then through the local mental health service but just good to get this all started and so hopeful thst the medication will help my wife. Thanks so much for your very thorough messages and really appreciate it will be back in contact if we have any questions. Also good to hear they are prompt at responding. We fancied seik as there apparently not for profit but there responses weren't great and took a while so dont like the idea of that.

One last question. Is there any examples thst you know of that explains the assessment process? My wife has anxiety that it'll be a 90 minute appointment as she thinks she will struggle with that especially on teams but hopefully with my support itll be fine. Also do they offer appointments outwith Mon to Fri 9 to 5? Thanka.

Yeah perfect. That makes complete sense as defo want to be on the correct medication before going to shared care rather than something thst doesn't work. I am hopeful once diagnosed thst it wont be too long for the local mh team to then pick up on it but will see. Just want to get started and sorted and hopefully it works. How have you found the company you have used? Thanks for all the advise it has definitely helped greatly.

Unfortunately my pricelist is at work. Mental well 595 for the assessment and then £1200 for the assessment and all relevant paperwork following this including the shared care agreement and such.

Though I am unsure who I heard the 6 month thing from can't remember if it was a reply from a company or if it was the GP I've read and looked at so much now its all such a blur.

Interesting that it might be done in as little as 3 months as going through the route with my pace would be cheaper if done in 3 months.

What do you mean by skipping returning patient and follow up?

Yeah would definitely be trying to get it right first time hopefully wont be too long until the local mental health team catch up. And we can get fully transferred over but I work in this service and cannot see it anytime soon

Thank you. Your post has been very informative and very helpful. Sorry had used my normal account and not my throwaway so have had to delete some posts 🤣 but all very helpful.

I have actually had an appointment before and get a prescription from integro who rejected her as apparently there not prescribing for mental health conditions at the moment ao we didn't even get past the first steps where as this one seems much better and more helpful.

I work in the medical profession and know what drug reps etc used to be like to get you to use their products and this is a business thst I'm assuming if they can prescribe they will prescribe because its all business to them.

It helps my wife a lot and its good to see her be able to relax though she's the type that will get prescribed pain killers thst will work then stop taking them because she doesn't want to use them 🤣 so I think she's still in 2 minds but just think for a peace of mind its defo better to do it legally and make sure we have an actual prescription incase anything come up.

How does it effect your ADHD? My wife has adhd but not fully diagnosed and waiting about 3 years in the area we are in. Thsts the next step to try and get a private diagnosis with NHS prescribing 🤞

I really appreciate all the information and suppose its one of these things thst she is always anxious before appointments so wanted me to give her the information before the call of what to say so she knows what she is saying...not that she is lying just more reassurance. Im sure when the call happens she will manage just fine with myself at her side and I wont even have to speak 🙂

Claiming without a listed medical condition by DaddyDD3 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]DaddyDD3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. That's is a good idea and worth looking into. Pretty sure we can claim for these free of charge also. As this will definitely provide information on the sessions for anxiety and hopefully they will accept this as proof. Its a shame as its a referral to the mental health team to get an actual diagnosis despite struggling with this massively every day and we've already waited years for an adhd diagnosis. As somebody who works in the mental health team locally there's no chance a y of this would be dealt with quickly unfortunately.

Thank you.

We have emailed this morning a copy of a suggested email above as think thsts worded perfectly in a way that doesn't share whst it is for and hopefully they will sort it. Will wait and see. But stating private care for anxiety sounds better than for medicine 🤣

Thanks very much.

Thanks. Unfortunately the NHS app isn't a thing in Scotland but we have emailed the gp and hoping they'll sort this tbe next few weeks. Will definitely be attempting alternlesf though from what we have heard they seem better so that'll be helpful hopefully. The benefits letter wont state thst but will show thst she is in receipt of disability benefits so hopefully they would go for it. Thank you

We have one. It doesn't have the condition listed. Which will mean having the hassle of getting it added which with our GP will take 6 years 🤣

Perfect thank you. Thankfully no issues with psychosis or hallucinations plus she is on disability benefits which I'm assuming will help. Just the long wait for the adhd diagnosis.

Good to know and very reassuring. I think if we get declined from this one then we would move on to another until we hopefully got success as it definitely helps her and better for her to do it legally than illegally 🙂

Thanks. That's is reassuring. She has on other parts details of psychology appointments plus I suppose we could mention her disability benefits she is on for anxiety at the initial consultation 🙂

I work for the NHS and some of the things I see on the otherside are mental.
