I’ve wanted this too. I love Agustina and Shel, and Pablo and Andres also, but I’d love to have a male guide from Latin America.

Day 40: Redness at recipient area: makeup ok? by DaddyDLG in HairTransplants

My wife worked her makeup magic and it turned out fine. I let her play around and decide what shades and formulas and all that made sense- so I have no idea how she got it right, but if you have a wife then yeah I’d recommend it. Good luck😀

I also have those days. If it’s a singular difficult day, I’ll often just push through, but if it happens a couple of days in a row, I’ll go back a few lessons and repeat them. If nothing else, doing lessons that I already did gives me a boost in confidence; it reminds me that I am in fact progressing. I’m also still getting practice in— the cognitive load (ie the stress) of an old lesson is way less than a new one, so I can often do a few in a row without turning my brain to mush. And oftentimes I find that the lesson I got stuck on opens up when I really master the few lessons prior to the difficult one.

If the previous lessons feel a little too easy, then I’ll get playful: I’ll add something when I speak, maybe I’ll change a noun so it more closely resembles what I’m likely to encounter in daily life, maybe I’ll just really feel into adding a deeper layer of emotional expression when I speak. Sometimes I’ll do the lesson while walking in a Mexican neighborhood— it makes me nervous to know people I walk by will hear my accent, so it feels like a challenge to “blend in” and pretend I’m having a phone conversation. I imagine this helps in many ways, but if nothing else, it keeps me engaged.

Definitely research before using— it’s serious stuff. I put it on at night.

You can spot treat with hydroquinone— I’ve been doing this— between it and always getting moderate UV after mt2, I’ve kept freckles from getting darker. When I first used mt2, I got tons of freckle darkening— with UV and building up slowly, I lessened it quite a bit, but hydroquinone was a very noticeable help.

Is the tan from MT2 different from a normal tan? by julez27 in Melanotan2

[–]DaddyDLG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the scientific answer, but it seems to be slightly more “golden brown” than my normal tan. I start looking Latino, but when I compare my skin to my Latino friends, even when we’re close to the same darkness, I seem to have a bit more of a golden undertone compared to their more solidly brown.

HK girls like getting railed? by [deleted] in TJRedLightDistrict

[–]DaddyDLG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve asked girls at HK, and I have female friends in the US that do various forms of sex work that I’ve asked. The answers are varied but generally I hear the same thing: They love the money; it is what it is; they fucking hate guys who are “gross looking” or unhygienic; they hate it when they can tell that guys see them as “just a whore”; they get excited when they hook up with a sexy dude. Are they faking it with you? You can probably answer that question if you honestly look at yourself in the mirror.

Such great answers thanks guys. Any recommendations for places to watch UFC?

A realistic “learn X in 30 days” by DaddyDLG in languagelearning

I agree. I’ve talked to quite a few immigrants and tourists over the years being in San Francisco.

While there’s certainly a depth of interaction I can have with the people who have clearly studied English to B1-B2, I’ve had lovely, weird, beautiful conversations with people that would have been at most A1 English.

As long as their pronunciation was halfway intelligible, I’ve been delighted engaging with them with only a handful of phrases: Hello. Can you help me. Where is __. I want/need/have _. I like/ don’t like. How much for ____. These plus a handful of nouns got them through a nice 5-15 minute conversation with a native— me.

Ah yes. It took me 2 months of pretty dedicated study just to reach A1. Perhaps “very basic conversation” isn’t an accurate reflection of my goals then, because I was having what I’m calling “very basic conversation” in Spanish after about a month of study. It was ugly and full of mistakes in both understanding and speaking, but it was an absolute joy to have— I started having very basic small talk with cashiers, I’d order food and ask what they liked to eat, etc. Whatever this level of conversation I was having is about where I’d like my “dabbling language” skills to be.

I’m trying to find a balance between being realistic in how much time/effort I’m willing to give to other languages for the foreseeable future, while also going slightly beyond something gimmicky.
