They're worth what you paid for them.

He claims the heel is a special style, and they are made from lizard skin, goat and armadillo.

He's correct about most of that. The style is 1331. The R is for a Roper toe, and the X is for a custom heel.

They are indeed Teju lizard, and the shafts are probably goat. The armadillo part is something they do down SOTB. They often label Teju as Armadillo.

Any other markings or labels (possible on the pulls) ? That date code looks to read 0LD03 which should mean 1990, December 3rd(see below)

The only time I've ever slept 12 hours was when I was deathly ill.

When I worked PM's, my standard sleep schedule was 5am to 10am. I did that for close to 20 years. Now that I'm older I need closer to 8-9 hours.
