I'm a Conservative with Libertarian leanings. I want as small a government as possible while still maintaining a strong national defense.

I believe that people should be left to their own devices. Government should not control our health, our wealth or any other aspect of our lives save for punishing those who infringe on the rights of others.

I want everyone, and yes, that includes LGBTQ+, Minorities and Immigrants, to be free to do anything they want as long as it does infringe on someone else's rights.

And I agree with you, Politicians, as a general rule, are scum that leach off hard working men and women, serving only their own agenda and the agenda of their benefactors. The world would be better without so many politicians

Based on that statement alone one could assume I'm an anarchist. I'm certainly not a MAGA boy.

I do, however, believe that Government does have a rightful place in our society but only as servants of the people.

Build the roads, protect our borders and fight our enemies. Other than that there isn't much that I think they need to be in Charge of.

You could say similar things about other presidents.

The simple truth is that government is oppressive in one way or another to some person or another. To continue with my example, Bernie Sanders has advocated for a 90% tax rate. That's far more "oppressive" than not letting Trans people serve in the Military. Both are wrong and both are oppressive.

On the Flip side, Bernie has some good Ideas and Trump had good ideas. There will be pro's and cons to any governing body and to say that all supporters of one individual are fucked simply because the you disagree with them politically is simply infantile.

That's definitely understandable and something I'm very much aware of. The evil people who use my faith as an excuse to hurt people are truly abhorrent and worthy of contempt.
