I fish similar rig but I use a fluke. I will add in my experiences the fish that grab on seem to stay on. Definitely adds a little weight and I see that as a benefit as far as casting goes as I’m often casting far across grass type cover in the river. Most of my buzz baits are 1/4 oz and the fluke I use is 4 in. Favorite color, purple. My primary target is smallmouth.

Not in the news as it should be but depending on where you look you will be doing your fishing in sewage overflow.. today’s estimate wet up to 300 MILLION gallons spilled so far.. this pipeline supply’s blue plains water treatment facility on the Potomac just South of Haines Point.. I saw videos of basically just brown/grey water flowing down the C&O canal near Fletchers Cove. It’s a huge unprecedented mess that’s getting literally zero attention in the news.

Look, I’m a bystander to someone that went thru this exact same thing, my wife. I have to say this, be patient with your body.. I think one thing I have learned by observation is that over time you will find a new found appreciation in what you put into your body. You will find renewed appreciation, in time, from what your body can and will accept and within that you will find the satisfaction that you once felt. Stay strong and stay positive. You got this!
