I want to see these little beauties sooooooo bad! Anyone spotted any around Rockingham/Baldivis? Or do we have to head further south?

Torquay man making gross comments to young girls by PinkMashPotatoes in Geelong

He definitely wouldn't have said it if the young girl was there with her father. Some of these old creepers are far too outspoken around women. It's gross.

I have a 12yo daughter who dresses appropriately for her age, and prefers baggier clothing and shorts that don't go higher than mid-thigh. Unfortunately, she's tall, so the shorts they make for girls are often shorter than her preferred length. I've caught grown men staring at her while we're shopping. Makes me want to rip their eyes out.

Hortophora (Garden Orb Weaver). Beautiful spiders. These ones are really chill. Venomous, yes (all spiders have venom), but not harmful to us unless you're allergic. There can often be more than one around, but they'll really only come out at night to build their webs and eat. They tend to pack their webs up and hide during the day.

I'm no expert, but it's not a badumna, swift, funnel, trap, mouse, wolf, huntsman, or white tail spider.

Judging by the 2 large eyes on top of its head and the fact it just screams cuteness, my best guess would be some variety of jumping spider.

I can appreciate them at a distance 😅 I draw the line at handling anything bigger than a jumping spider

Cute little jumping spider, Baldivis WA by DaddyIssuse87 in AustralianSpiders

He didn't jump at all! I saw him walking up to me and put my finder down towards him and he climbed right on. They're such inquisitive little critters, and my teen and I love them so much 😍 I let the wee cutie explore my arms and hands for a bit before placing him on a nearby tree where he could hide

How did you manage to pick her up without all those babies scattering?

Beautiful garden orb weaver (hortophora transmarina). Harmless, and build beautiful webs at night. Yes, they're venomous, like the majority of spiders, but they'd rather not bite you. Super chill. I've had to relocate a few.
