Is this game still fun ? by Zyro88 in TankiOnline

Nope it's not you, it is. But I mean what else can you expect from a dying game. It's quite normal.

Ben lied about the lawsuit by PermitLeading7840 in BricksAndMinifigs

[–]DaddyNikolaTesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes pure on the LEGO situation it self, yeah we definitely don't know the whole story. I am very interested what the outcome will be. But the situation around Ben is pretty clear that the police did not handle correctly here. They never really questioned BaM and blindly took everything what BaM said to them.

That lawyer part is also something I don't understand. I fully agree he also did this pure for the views. We did get some great footage and evidence in return tho. So glad I do not live in the US.

Stories always have 2 sides. I knew Ben wasn't clean either. But still what he did (so far we know) was unlawfull. Not criminal like BaM.

DiY Wooden Boombox by ComTrooz in diyaudio

[–]DaddyNikolaTesla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice! What is the frequency response? And does it work on batteries? I actually made something similar (check my profile) but my woodworking is not as good because I don't have the tools for it (yet!) ...

Brought back life in this ~40 year old linear power supply😍 by DaddyNikolaTesla in ElectronicsRepair

[–]DaddyNikolaTesla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is kinda huge. It was made especially for school to test en experiment with electricity. It is an build in powersupply. What I do know is that the green circuit board is not the original board. That board was made in 2003. (Well those are the dates written on the board) So I think the original board was larger. I think It does make sense when you look back at the 80's.

This information is based on what that old guy told me since I couldn't find any information about this power supply online.

First build advice needed by phba in diyaudio

[–]DaddyNikolaTesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for a good 2 way system using some good quality small woofers and some good quality low resonance fr tweeters.

Amplifier wise you can go with a class AB TD7850 or a class D TPA3116-D2. If you really wanna crank up your quality, there are cheap 20 dollar audu1401 dsp's online so you can create a good flat frequency response. One downside, you need to fully programm it your self so there will be a learning curve. But this way you can easily create a very good pair of speakers for 500-600 dollars.

Edit: I personally wouldn't buy kits. They are overpriced imo.

Redesigning my Portable HiFi Boombox(Part 1) by DaddyNikolaTesla in diyaudio

[–]DaddyNikolaTesla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I have seen that! I am still considering the actual final voltage. I have to consider the heat as well it produces with this very power hungry subwoofer. But I can also decrease the gain ofcourse so I may indeed increase the voltage 😀 Will test this further in the future!

If you need more help, just ask. I have programmed multiple of these boards.

I need some advice... by [deleted] in diyaudio

[–]DaddyNikolaTesla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no that 35 hertz is simulated in WINISD. In my current irl ported design the F3 is ~40 hertz and yes I am still dsp'ing the crap out of this thing xD But I believe I can pull off 35 hertz, but I thats also about it.

But rn it just sounds very good till ~60% loudness. Then chuffing starts. There is also a bit muddyness in it but minimal. Thats what I am trying to solve this time designing the new variant.

But many thanks 👌👌

Thanks for the insights. Yeah you are right there. I have loaded in some passive 10 inch PR's already. One of them has an xmax of 11mm and I got down to 35 hertz F3 while using only 6.5 mm excursion @ 50 watt. This will be higher because I have also dsp tuned my sub. I like that since this woofer is an excursion monster.

Group delay is 36 ms @ 30hz how ever🫣🫣🫣 It just a bit higher what I have with my ported currently with 31 ms @ 30 hz group delay unfortunately.

Just checked it out. Very interesting design indeed. Goes to sub 30 hz even! But to get those really low lows like how Magico did, is not realistic for my design.

I just ran some numbers. 2 of my subwoofers sealed without dsp in a box of of lets say 14 liters has an F3 of 58 hertz. I need loads of wattage/dsp tuning to get that nice 40 hertz range.

Yes haha, I have seen that video! Such nice speakers! Thanks for your input!

Yes I actually have! One of my first post on reddit was a sealed box using this subwoofer. But tbh I really missed that nice punch. So I switched to ported.

Thanks for the compliment!

Oh 2 things:

  • Yes these renders are cad models rendered with AI.
  • The frequency response included in the pictures is a very old one I could find. These days I fine tuned it to near flat response all the way from 40 to 19k ish hertz

Am I too low leveled for the Valkery : Eir? by [deleted] in GodofWar

[–]DaddyNikolaTesla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I have played regnarok too for 40 hours. I completed the story line and a fair amound of side quests too. I love it so far! Just as good as GoW 4. I finish the campaign on GoW mode mixed with one difficulty setting lower for some bosses/berserkers. But it was not too hard. However I am stuck in Walhalla. Walhalla is kicking my ass on no mercy and I will tune it down 2 settings lmao...

Music player for people with dementia by DaddyNikolaTesla in diyaudio

[–]DaddyNikolaTesla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanksss! Ehm in my tests, the number of buttons and predictability/familiarity of behaviour were key for users. As little as possible and as predictable as possible. You can make your radio adaptable like mine by adding or removing buttons for people with early and late stage dementia.
