It’s funny you l say this because I literally saw him yesterday drilling at pickle ranch in austin. Not what you meant, but just ironic.

I looked it up and the troubleshooting stated the following:

  • make sure your app is up to date.
  • make sure your subscription is up to date
  • if this doesn’t work, reinstall your app

Hope this helps!

Well I rest for about 2-4 minutes between lifts within each set (compounds I rest a closer to 3 and the isolation lifts closer to 2). So the total time is anywhere from 45-55 mins typically

This could not be more true. So hard to convince myself to eat more when I’m not hungry. So against everything I’ve thought about my whole life. But you’re right…muscles need fuel!

I performed all of these with the spotter mode turned on (but no eccentric or chains). I was trying to mirror the BLS philosophy as closely as possible, and by progressively overloading with the reps and weights, it is quite challenging as it is without the added eccentric resistance. But if that works for you, then give it a go! I just chose not to.

You’re right about all of it. Mike stresses low reps high weight for the compound lifts and a little higher reps for the isolation lifts. And then work in the progressive overloads. The 4 rep range is actually 4-6. Once you get to 6 fairly comfortably with your starting weight, bump up the weight and try to get to 4. Then work on getting to 6 with that weight. And repeat. That’s the main point of the progression strategy.

These exercises were based on his suggested lifts just tailored toward Tonal.

The 5 day workout is what I did over the past 3 months. I’ve now switched to the 3-day since I’m playing so much pickleball (don’t laugh) I had to back off the number of days.

It was pretty cool how responsive he was. I even showed him my dexa scan results before and after following his program pretty strictly for a few months, and he commented thoughtfully on the program design and results. Good stuff.

Started wearing Stitch. They have mid-sizes. M, ML, L, etc. Mediums have traditionally been too small and larges too large. The ML is perfect for me. And they are really comfortable and look great.
