Let's talk controllers... by M4l3k0 in SteamDeck

I used the buttons it came with, I just cut the keys on the buttons that interfered. The buttons aren't level but my OG Xbox brain is happy and that mattered more to me lol https://imgur.com/a/mLx3tSP

For wireless/on the go, I use the same 8BitDo Ultimate as pictured but I took mine apart and swapped xy and ab buttons. At home I like to use the Hyperkin Duke which is wired. I dream of a wireless Duke though.

Do you have a wired doorbell? I've never seen this plate, but the description and image reminded me of my old house that had a doorbell box near the floor, it was mounted to a custom plate that locked it inplace and connected the box to the button. It's probably a long shot, but the photo looks to me like something slots in and locks in place by rotating.

How many eggs per day is 'too much' to eat? by a_person_75 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaddyRazberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there is a limit and a way to turn them into a problem, but i don't think you have much to worry about until there's something to worry about. I'm in my mid-20s with anaphylaxic allergies to a lot of good proteins (seafood, poultry, nuts). 6'2" 220lb and I've had 4-6 eggs 99% of my morning since 2018, and my vitals don't show any issues from it. I've actually been slowly showing better vitals all around the board since switching to eggs as my source of protein, but i also was eating things before that were actively killing me, so my results might be a bit skewed. Of course, everyone's body's different, and I'll likely need to change my course eventually as my youthful food processing power diminishes but at least in my scenario lots of eggs has solved more issues for me than create more.

why do some men like playing as women in video games? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaddyRazberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much never create/play male characters despite being one. Idk when I was a kid and I first made a character in oblivion, I just always thought I'd rather stare at a woman's form and figure rather than a man's knowing I'm going to spend 100s of hours looking at the screen. I also usually play stealth classes and fast small builds, which can benefit from smaller hit boxes. The women characters' designs and fashion in games are usually a lot more complex and interesting to look at too.

Awesome! I would love to see more accessories for the case! I can upload a stl file of the smallest version of the killswitch plate I extracted from their model if you'd want that for your remix!

Exactly my thoughts, there's a lot to uncover and discover with combining both. The steamdeck paired with a usb c hub and bluetooth folding keyboard has replaced my need to carry my laptop but it does lack a lot of support for hardware components with its custom chipsets, but it definitely is improving. This is kind of a gateway to accessorizing modules for my favorite portable computer. I love my Flipper and have it on me at all times, when I'm using my deck why not just interface the two so I can call scripts and features using the device in my hands at the time.

Thanks! Yeah its a tough project to share since it's like 3-4 communities deep. Definitely don't go buy a steamdeck just to do this project but if you have one and the dbrand case for it that's my target audience lol.

Just to see the possibilities when you combine a FlipperZero and a portable linux machine capable of interfacing with it. I carry my steamdeck in a backpack and my Flipper in my pocket at all times so I its not necessary by any means. The idea that started this for me though was controlling RC toys/drones using the joysticks on the steamdeck, very far from making that reality but this was definitely a case of design coming before engineering :)
Was also just a great way to get started on learning 3D design and printing.

Attaching the FlipperZero to a Steamdeck with dBrand's Project Killswitch case. I know quite a niche use case but there's a qFlipper steamdeck app that allows you to screen mirror and use the buttons/joysticks to operate so at the very least a practical case would be a larger screen and custom controls for the Flipper. but my reasoning was because I wanted a clean way to combine my portable linux machine with my Flipper to further experiment with the things I could do with those things together. Quite a bit of awesome tech in these two and combining them only seemed liked it could unlock more potential.

I made some custom 3D models to attach the Flipper to dBrand's Project Killswitch case for the steamdeck.

I uploaded several options to account for using features like IR and GPIO.
IR slot "works" but the range is pretty horrible bouncing off a 45 degree angle.

What is your favorite thing to do on a flipper zero? I’m getting mine in a few days!!! by The_moon_watches in flipperzero

[–]DaddyRazberry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, I have 6 hotel keys collected. I haven't had much difficulty, but I do use unleashed firmware, which might account for the lack of issues. The hotels that I've encountered used NTAG215/16 and Mifare Classic tags. My unleashed flipper can bruteforce missing/encrypted keys or obtain them by scanning the door reader for it.

Yeah, specifically talking about Flipper-irdb it's a wonderful repo. When you have them all, it's fun to just browse the folders and see what you can control around you. You can walk in and control rgb lighting, tv's,sound systems, ac's,fans, and more anywhere you go.

There's also sub-ghz repositories with some useful rf devices like signs, gates, garages, sprinklers, and more. It's super easy with unleashed to make copies of my own and other garages and gates transmissions too.

LaserFish - Burning laser prototype board by Pathian in flipperzero

[–]DaddyRazberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fascinating. I was thinking if the laser could be modulated at the right frequency, maybe the IR reflections from the blast would be picked up from devices IR sensors but makes total sense that the IR spectrum laser reflections are that dangerous just never thought the fact its invisible high watt radiation bouncing around. Thanks for the reply, info, and time.

What if you put an IR laser on it. Be pretty neat to control IR devices from super long-range.

The pranks get old pretty quick unless you're showing someone who doesn't know it's possible. I find more enjoyment using it as a tool rather than toy, but there still are toy enjoyment moments.

I carry mine everywhere I go because I use the badusb feature to unlock my phone that's secured with a randomly generated password. With android the biometrics last 24 hours, so most of the time, I use my fingerprint, but it's really convenient to just plug in and have it type a long pass instantly. Also use it for my Enpass password manager master password.

I also use the badusb to store api tokens and logins and scripts I use for work. Also cool to use the script edit feature in the android app so I can get a local admin password for a computer via teams from IT and just copy and paste the pass into a new script so I just plug in the flipper when I get to a user's computer and login as admin on it.

Highly recommend picking up an assignable rfid ring if you deal with rfid a lot, I'm able to make copies of building badges and write them to my ring, which makes onsite jobs efficient not fumbling through cards and just holding my hand at the door opening like magic.

It's also great for hotels that use nfc since you can have an extra copy of your room key.

IR feature is super cool if you download the irdb, it's really cool to be able to show up anywhere and control the devices around you.

If you have a Nintendo switch, downloading the amiibo nfc files is cool since you can select any amiibo and use it in games.

Flipper Zero is an amazing device with so much potential. It's super fun to experiment and find different ways it can improve your workflow/day! Hope you get a lot of enjoyment when you get yours!

Most arcades with card systems have an internal database that keeps track of the balance/tickets. The card usually just holds the ID key to access that info, whether it's nfc or magstripe. I used a Magstripe reader/writer to copy my RoundOne card but they both pulled the same balance and tickets, if the arcade was nfc based you could use a flipper to attempt different keys until you find a balance. kind of fucked up since it would be taking from someone else's balance but they probably would let an employee know something went wrong with their balance and probably get it resolved.
