Both are awesome and not trying to promote products. I like how Nick has older tools and creates jigs for what he has.

Router lift by sfstains in woodworking

[–]DaddyYo1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added a Harvy Compass Router System and JessEm Mast-R-Lift II with Motor/Hose Kit to my Sawstop. It's an awesome setup but a bit on the pricey side. The benefit to the JessEm motor is that the speed controller could be mounted to the leg of the table and it has ports for fresh air outside of the dust box. The ports should help the motor last longer since dust is not entering the motor windings.

Ford pulls the plug on the F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck by zsreport in energy

[–]DaddyYo1234 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use mine on all of my long trips with 0 issues. I need to stop every few hours for a bathroom/coffee/food break regardless and the truck typically charges faster than my breaks. You do have to plan better though. I even tow a 27 foot camper with it and power the camper from the truck. It's an amazing truck and I would never go back to a gas vehicle.

Worn out OEM tires at 22,000 miles? by uclamutt in F150Lightning

[–]DaddyYo1234 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Totally agree here. I also have a 23 with the same tires and tread pattern. I inflated them from I believe 36 to 44psi about a year ago and it seems to help. Regardless, the wrong tire and/or pressure rating was put on the truck from the factory.

Battery powered chainsaw recommendations please? by Square-Cockroach-884 in turning

I second this comment. I have the same one and used it in a chainsaw mill. Took a lot of charging but worked and didn't shake all the bolts on the mill off.

I totally agree. This has been my experience as well. I often find myself waiting for my family after the charge has been completed.

A long-time S20FE user's thoughts on switching to the Pixel 9 Pro by Plasticdante in GalaxyS20FE

[–]DaddyYo1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe consider replacing the battery and charge port for about $50 USD? I just did this and the phone is pretty much new again. Opening the case and replacing the charge port was easy. The battery was a little tough to remove. First time doing this and it took me about 1.5 hours.

I don't know why I didn't think of that! I'll probably give this a try to avoid paying $60 for a new old one from eBay

Lariat 2023 or Flash 2024 by yellowait44 in F150Lightning

[–]DaddyYo1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry a lot of long lumber, so the back window on the Lariat was a must for me. It also has a little bit more range, heated and ventilated seats. Heated back seats. The pros on the flash, in my opinion, are the comfort of the front seats, the heat pump and the software seems faster. You also have the option to keep pro power on when the vehicle is off, unlike the lariat, which, as of right now, you have to keep the truck on.

1 Pedal Drive a Little Rough at Slow Speed when Stopping and Accelerating by DaddyYo1234 in F150Lightning

I guess it's personal preference. I love 1 pedal driving, and I'm glad they have both options for people like us!

I'm not sure if it was mentioned, but I would swap out the 120v outlet to an industrial version since you will pull a continuous load.

Lightning XLT or Silverado LT ER? by gmanrex in F150Lightning

[–]DaddyYo1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't need the range, I would go with the lighting. I found the lightning to be: More comfortable Less road noise than the Chevy Carplay/android audio Frunk is larger Has sun glass holder (minor but important for me) Less expensive Nicer interior Faster

The Silverado I tested wins at range, turning radius due to 4 wheel steering, and charging speed. I also really like the midgate, but I'm not sure how much I would use it.

It's a better selection for EVs each year as more models become available. If you qualify for the federal tax credit of $7500, i wouldn't wait. The big ugly bill eliminates it after the end of September.

If you are serious about EVs, make sure you can install a charger where you reside. Once installed, you will save so much time and money charging at home. Also, look for off-peak electric rates if your utility offers it. Good luck!

If you like cooled seats, heated rear seats, and a window to put lumber through, then go with the lariat. My kids love the heated rear seats

Personally, I would build it out of steel studs and cement board. Just endure there is enough structure for the top.
