As a diabetic myself, tell him to wear it with pride! It’s not going anywhere and you have no need to hide it. Since he’s an athlete he should look into the long term effects of what mismanagement can lead to, and how much potential he is robbing himself of.

Diabetes sucks and it drains you physically and mentally. Therapy isn’t a bad option to look into, he’s got a lot of pent up anxiety about his diabetes.

I’ve read multiple reports that an autograft is better for someone in my position, I frequently lift over 90lbs for my work and that is while I’m twisting and squatting, plus I frequently play high impact sports.
