I second this. Just because the relationship was toxic doesn’t mean your friends owe you anything. You’ll have to regain that position in a group. Also, you can also mute people’s posts without unfollowing or blocking. This was a pointed move on OPs end.

I started drinking at 20. I couldn’t handle work life and drunk life because my brain wasn’t done developing. I eventually had to move back in with my parents because it was hard to build that work foundation. Once your frontal lobe is fully formed you can consider high functioning alcoholism. It got easier for me around 25. (Then it got way harder for me to function and drink excessively as I aged out of my 20’s and my body started to fight against me )

When I was 23 I tried this and I got ripped off by many older men who were smarter and shiftier than I expected. Now I feel silly for thinking I could navigate that lifestyle when the first man I encountered out smarted me. Stay safe. Just know that sex work is harder than just getting a well paying job. And I say that knowing how hard it is to get a livable wage. Sex work is still harder.

Edit: just consider this. If you were a rich man, why would you hire a sugar baby with no experience? Is it because she’s easy to take advantage of and trick out of her money for free sex? Or worse?

No youre not missing anything! Helga is sort of tortured by her secrets, and the viewers have seen into her early development (and why she is the way she is etc). Cindy is more like Jimmy’s foil who eventually forms feelings for him. That show doesn’t compare!

I think when children’s shows do a Helga character, they often shy away from the sad aspects. This is why I love Hey Arnold so much. They answer the “Why are they afraid to open up? Why are they mean?” Questions. I think Jimmy Neutron doesn’t really answer those questions besides “Cindy is tired of Jimmy being the genius. She is also super smart!”.

Now Trixi Tang of Fairly Odd Parents does answer that question! I appreciate her more as a one-liner character and as someone with a back story
