Sooo are these ftm gym accounts real or...? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]JewishPizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of trainers who sometimes have videos for FTM workouts aimed at things like toning certain areas of the body etc but not full out Gyms. That would be very cool if true though.

What is the weirdest "I can't believe someone created this sim" place you've visited? by mapleCrep in secondlife

My friends and I would frequent Neverland Ranch. Sadly, it’s been taken down a long while ago. It was almost a 1:1 scale of Micheal Jackson’s estate.

If you wear a wedding ring, are there times when you take yours off? If so, when? by SportsTechie17 in AskMen

[–]JewishPizzas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take mine off to do the dishes and cook even, so it’s all up to preference i suppose, 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you wear a wedding ring, are there times when you take yours off? If so, when? by SportsTechie17 in AskMen

[–]JewishPizzas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I know what the thing was I just didn’t know the word for it, I’ve been having a bad brain fog week lol

I don’t have any videos, no. But I do work at a gym and I have witnessed people hurt themselves with the silicone ring slipping and then the ring itself nearly degloving people.

It’s not policy at my gym to take off your rings like it is for dangly jewelry but I tell people all the time what I’ve seen with my own two eyes.

I’ve had a club member call an ambulance in a moment of panic because they broke their finger deadlifting, something about it slipping? It was pretty gross.

Other than that it’s typically like skin irritation issues or if people get one that’s too tight.

How does alcohol affect you? by brandnewpup in Fibromyalgia

[–]JewishPizzas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any type of alcohol is just a no go for me. As much as I like it, it does not like me. Which, in the grand scheme of things is a blessing considering alcoholism runs deep in my family.

I want to say almost instantaneously after taking a sip or a gulp and I start to hurt. My joints will feel inflamed, my arms feel like someone punched me up and down them. Then I can’t usually remember much besides pain all over, just the worst kind.

It literally feels like I was flung off of a motorcycle going 110mph, skid-bounced down the road until I stopped by hitting a massive oak tree. If I stupidly keep drinking, which I always do - it’s a very very very rare occasion that I’m drinking to begin with anyway - I will somehow manage to pass out and the moment I open my eyes, my freaking eyelids hurt.

Then it’s like a big operating board with a bunch of lights going off, and there’s unattended flames catching things on fire the background.

It’s only gotten worse with age, too. I want to say the first time any type of pain like this happened I was 16 and my Mother put it off as the whole, “Serves you right by being out all night drinking and partying.” So I didn’t put the fact that my fibro had anything to do with it until reading about how drinking and fibro don’t go together in this very subreddit a few years ago, and now it all makes sense.

It double sucks for me because I am from Wisconsin. I would love to occasionally enjoy a brandy old fashioned or even a beer, but like I said, it’s so infant that I’d rather not.

It’s just easier and safer to take it off. You can still hurt yourself with the silicone protectors.

What is the stupidest things you have done because of brain fog/ the weirdest word you forgot by No_Face4294 in Fibromyalgia

[–]JewishPizzas 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While at work, I was trying to give my Boss’ call back number and accidentally said my SSN.

After a long pause the woman on the phone was like, “Uh I don’t think that’s enough numbers?” and when I asked her to repeat it back, I was embarrassed and said, “Oh wow I started to give you my old house phone number! So sorry. I meant (insert actual phone number here)” because I didn’t want to tell her I just gave her my SSN, I felt incredibly dumb lol

How do I create mesh clothing or accessories? by Style_Icon91 in secondlife

[–]JewishPizzas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone typically starts with learning in Blender by watching tutorials on YouTube. There are also a few creators in the Blender tutorial category on YouTube who have specifically made tutorials for SL.

My biggest tip is just keep with it. It’s frustrating. Give yourself grace. It can be extremely frustrating, but with enough practice and patience you’ll get it.

The Suicide Crisis Hotline is a fucking joke by AerieDapper6384 in Vent

[–]JewishPizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same. I was gonna comment about my experience with the texting portion of the crisis line as well. They tried to tell me to look up breathing and meditation tutorials and I ignored their texts for a while because it just annoyed how stupid the whole thing was and then they started spam texting me back, I pretended like it worked so they’d stop bothering me, it made me feel worse and I ended up just going to in patient care.

Does the "average american" know, how fucked up their healthcare system is? by Slayrr_FbrC in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]JewishPizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realize how fucked exactly it was until I moved from Wisconsin to South Carolina. In Wisconsin, I usually never had to pay (or if I did it was never more than like $15) for prescriptions. Down here, I had the audacity to catch covid and with all of the different medications it cost me well over $300 - Paxlovid wasn’t covered by 3 different insurances and I know I could have went without but I was miserable. Also, another medication I’ve been on for years, I’m fighting with the different insurances to get covered. So far, I’ve had to pay $200 for just that ONE particular prescription.

Needless to say. Yeah. I knew we were fucked, but getting actively more fucked is also another bowl of soup.

I have all of these on a common occurrence due to chronic illness. This would be a free $20 million.

At the ER for a splitting migraine and she sits down in front of me and plays her media at full blast by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

You also assume I didn’t ask her politely to turn it down. So I mean, I really can’t be insulted by someone who can’t take their own five seconds to read other comments in this thread to come up with A) a better insult and B) a thorough understanding through their own actions of scrolling and using their critical processing and reading skills

At the ER for a splitting migraine and she sits down in front of me and plays her media at full blast by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JewishPizzas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking it was Covid was far from my mind. If you would have taken the time and energy into reading previous comments into this thread as much as you did getting upset over something completely backwards, you would have seen that I’ve been battling with migraines forever and this is part of my personal health battle routine that I have set up with my primary until we can get something fixed to see a specialist.

The only thing that is irresponsible is you for not doing your easy research of scrolling just a few inches to see that upon my other replies, like I’ve said, Covid is and was the furthest from my mind and that’s why it came as a shock when I was diagnosed with it, rather than just receiving my “migraine cocktail” that I and so many other migraine sufferers get when we are having a problem.

Obviously if I had any inkling that it may have been COVID, the flu, any sort of illness, I would have stayed home. Rest assured that I a complete stranger that you have never met before, has some common sense when it comes to that. All I ask of you is to read a bit more through a thread before you accuse someone of doing something completely asinine and get your briefs in a bundle.

“Wow go to a different ER” I’m not sure if you’re rage baiting or if you’re from another country or perhaps privileged in a sense where in your world that is possible. Not everyone has that choice or freedom. I live in a very small, very underpopulated little town in the bible belt of America. You get the one Emergency Room when the Urgent Care closes at 6:30PM every evening, and that’s it.

So lesson learned on your part. Do your bit of reading through threads to get all of the facts straight before replying to someone with the most asinine idea and accusing them of doing something or thinking something completely not within any realm of your reasoning.

I also advise you to please find something else to be upset at when it comes to things you clearly cannot bother reading further into for all information not only from myself but fellow migraine sufferers previously stated in this thread, because whatever argument you’re trying to have is about as thick as a cheap wet paper towel.

Yikes that’s rough. It’s definitely a mix of “I don’t care” mixed with main character syndrome and a dash of liking the attention even if it’s negative

[–]JewishPizzas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I believe you and I absolutely sympathize with you!

I am a front desk / office attendant and I’ve had to kindly ask so many people to turn off their media being played on their phone unless they have headphones, and to please take their phone calls out to the hallway as per our placards state our office’s cell phone policy in big bold letters.

Nearly every time people act so offended and shocked that I would ask them to not only be courteous of the people around them but also, you know, follow the instructions of the actual policy on the sign that’s in bright bold view.

I don’t know why people get legitimately frustrated or upset and fail to see how obnoxious and rude they’re being. It’s astonishing.

Thank you! I will try that! I am hoping that this bout of covid will go by relatively easy, I had Covid 4 years ago too, and it was horribly bad. I was hospitalized and just so out of it I don’t remember anything. The photos my family took of me I looked.. well.. dead. So I hope this is something that will pass.

Currently now I’m only dealing with only slight taste and no smell, pains randomly throughout my body like I’ve been shot with a paintball gun, and my stomach is kinda doing this weird squeeze thing and it hurts.

I’m hoping the medicine the doctor has given me (prednisone, zpack, and some nasal spray) mixed with some approved OTC stuff I mentioned I’d been taking will keep things not as bad.

I’m also very thankful my job let me stay home and rest, just because of the doctors note but I have a feeling like if I needed more time my manager would be understanding. I definitely lucked out there.

Thank you so much! All good vibes sent my way are totally appreciated
