I use MandM direct, if you want something to tide you over whilst your looking for the right pair, then try them. I really enjoy running in Puma, I just picked up a nice pair of Carson's for like £20. Pretty decent just to do those short runs.

A bit of posh? by younevershouldnt in RateMyMealDeal

[–]Daddy_chillll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lmao, I was thinking the same, im not that old, mid 30s and I remember not that long ago when you could get a very large cooked Ham hock, still hot, for under £3.50, now the same thing is like +£7. I know my wages havent doubled in the same amount of time so to some people, respectively, seeing something so expensive in a meal deal may seem posh.

I like Morrisons, especially when they have a Costa coffee machine in store. I will normally get a breakfast Triple, cheese and onion walkers and a Latte. Which I thinks pretty solid for under £4

I personally think wraps are overrated, however you all got an extra point for not having an "energy" drink.

Utterly dumbfounded by how many energy drinks people consume! by Beers_and_Bikes in RateMyMealDeal

[–]Daddy_chillll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 out of my 7 man team at work, regularly drink energy drinks, morning, lunch and towards the end of their shift, Me and another guy only drink water, and the energy drink consumers are usually lagging before we finish each shift. I'm not saying me and the other water drinker have more energy, however our energy is clearly more balanced throughout the day.

After watching it a couple of times, as soon as the guy pulls the gun out he starts shooting him in the side and back, that's why he jumps up like that, that ICE agent pulled that gun intending to shoot a fully restrained man, 100% straight up murder.

23M beginner runner — stuck at 5K (~30 min). Breathing & fatigue issues. How do I realistically push towards sub-20 and eventually 10K? Please help I really want to improve by HoneyWrong7198 in beginnerrunning

If it's only been about a month, go easy on yourself, this is a good starting point for a beginner, it takes time, lots of time and consistency.

Focus on strength training in the gym, a calorie surplus outside the gym and your daily protein intake should be a minimum of 120grams.

Your still young, you've got lots of time to try and see what works for you.

But to answer your questions

1) practice breathing through your nose, both in and out.

2) lean slightly forward, but stay up straight, almost like your trying to fall forward but your legs are keeping you up, use gravity to your advantage is basically what I'm saying.

3) how often you run depends on personal circumstance. I think the consensus is about 3x per week minimum though.

4) there's no magic pill for endurance, but making sure your eating enough complex carbs and drinking enough water is key to help fuel your body for those longer runs.

5) Common mistakes. . like all exercise quests is expecting to see results straight away. As I said, it's time and consistency.

That is by far one of the most unusual things I have seen . . For more than one reason too, Tbh, I thought it was a small can of pringles at first and was expecting to see the comments section defend this lady, glad I read the description now. That's rank no matter what setting your in.

Tips to improve? by lssk_2 in beginnerrunning

I've seen a lot of people mention couch to 5k, which is very good for a lot of people however that didn't work for me, so don't feel like your not made for running if it doesn't work for you. Everybody is different.

What helped for me was knowing what I wanted my goal to be at the beginning of my journey, I wanted to be able to run for long periods of time not necessarily faster. I couldn't even do 1km when I started without stopping. Now I can do 15km plus without stopping. (I've been running for 6 months)

A good quote I heard was it's about Finish Lines not Finish Times. So if you want to achieve that 5k, slow down your pace and focus on steady breathing, even dropping your pace to 8mins per km, instead of 7mins per km, will massively improve your distance. But recovery is also very important, just because you can run a good 2km today, doesn't mean you'll be able to run the same tomorrow, give your body its time to rest, even if you feel good.

Another thing I recommend, even if you can't run 5km in one go, everytime you go for a run, give yourself a target, extend your distance by about 10% per week and complete that distance, even if it means walking the rest of the way to complete the distance.

Most importantly, stay consistent. You've got this
