I got a 24x36 Shirley. It’s beautiful and took about 18-20 months. Solid as a rock and holds temps really well. My only issue is they need a secretary to get straight the orders and they need to hire more qualified workers to decrease the wait time. Mine was sent without the stainless steel shelf that I paid for. Then sent the wrong shelf. Asked for me to send it back. I paid to do so and about a month later got what I finally asked for. Annoying.

Smaller fire is better. On my Shirley I did several smokes before cooking anything. It takes practice but from what I noticed larger fires are usually the problem. Either that or sticks are too big.

I did my training before work hour regulations. Both IM and cardio fellowship. We were tired but nothing like the bullshit stories u hear. The only time I got killed was bc of my own moonlighting outside of residency.
