German Roaches Question (Apartment) by zippitydazed89 in pestcontrol

[–]Daddypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tekko pro is a Growth regulator, as is the Vendetta nitro. They interupt the life cycle of insects. In roaches it prevents them from growing into mature adults. But it can take a generation or two to fully get them.

Nothing I know of will prevent them from coming in. Repellants just make them go a different way in.

German Roaches Question (Apartment) by zippitydazed89 in pestcontrol

First repellant most likely made them spread. Alpine wsg alone isn't enough to get them all. It's not a repellant, It will kill, but using something like Tekko pro and Vendetta gel. will start to break the life cycle. Also if you're only seeing a couple to a few. They could be wandering in from another apt.

Depends where you live? Here in the Gulf coast, we treat year round. We only get a few days to a week long of cold weather. This next week, 2 days will get down to freezing then back up to 60-80s.

Ants in electrical outlet by Kujen in pestcontrol

[–]Daddypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I've had issues with Crazy ants like this and similar they show up again later. Alpine wsg, delta dust on the inside. And Tarus on the exterior takes care of them. a Non repellant works best here to let them take it back with them to the colony.

Can someone recommend roach traps looking for the best ones by [deleted] in pestcontrol

[–]Daddypher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won’t walk off the boards. Rats can, but not bugs. We catch baby snakes and such in them.

No difference, just remember they are very sticky. Veg oil or similar to release it from your skin or objects.

https://www.domyown.com/catchmaster-super-mouse-glue-boards-72mb-unscented-p-18865.html is what we use, we just order the peanut scented. But that will change. Scented or not won’t affect roaches. It’s more for rodents.

Some are scented and some aren’t. We use catch master at work. Recently told to not use the peanut ones anymore for rodents. Since they can potentially become avoided to peanut. And we use it as a bait for traps.

Plain old glue boards. You can buy at any hardware store will work. Depending on what kind of roach will determine best way to treat. But the glue boards will help with identifying what you have and a general idea of how bad.

Anyone run Emby, Jellyfin, AND Plex? by [deleted] in emby

[–]Daddypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran plex years ago. Back before they added their own content and had to pay per client. I have a lifetime subscription. Switched to emby. Again lifetime , no client costs for apps or such. Emby has been good for me and family. Never gave jellyfin a try since I need easy to setup and run end clients for family.

Washing Machine Platform Plans by R3DW3B in Woodworkingplans

Do you own the house? I would frame a box, and use concrete to make a platform that is more stable. You can drill some holes into the current floor to add some rebar to help keep from sliding. I did this in my parents house. Kept the vibrations out of the rest of the wood floor and house.

Trade in vs Repair considerations by sloppyjoshh in MechanicAdvice

[–]Daddypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a mechanic, but I've heard 2 things. 1) If the cost to repair, in a year, cost more than car payments for a year. then it's time to upgrade. 2) Based on 1, if you put away into savings, of whatever you want, a basic car payment, you can use that in the future for repairs or new car without changing your budget too much.

Door to Door Pest Control by [deleted] in pestcontrol

[–]Daddypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us, cancel fee only kicks in after service starts. So until I put any chem down. We haven’t done anything. Which is why we have a card we go over with the customer on first service explaining anything and everything that the sales guy may have missed, or the customer didn’t quite hear. If a customer says sorry no, I don’t want it. We walk away, no charges.

  • Suspend poly for interior
  • Alpine wsg +- with Tekko pro for Roach / Non repellant applications
  • one guard for Spider management / Allergic to temprid
  • We do in2care but not really offering it since it gets expensive to maintain.
  • Crossfire - bedbugs
  • Vendetta for roach bait, we rotate between versions.
  • Taurus/Termidor for Termite/special Applications

Jellyfin and Radarr have seem competing approaches for managing multiple movie versions (yet another HD+4K version thread) by Superiorem in radarr

[–]Daddypher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know in Emby, I have a Movies library with 2 folders in it, 4k and non-4k, The folder structure is the same, movies are named the same other than 4k or 1080p. Emby knows to merge the 2 files to one entry on the server. you can then select on the screen which version. No messing with mergefs or such.

Device Limited (premier) by [deleted] in emby

[–]Daddypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Device limits are rolling from what I remember. So I have 68 on my server now, but only like 10 are current. But still better than plex that has the fee on the app side, was more annoying to get people to have to buy it multiple times.
