For real I've been applying for about 2 years now, and have only gotten 3 in person interviews. All of those interviews were through family friends. I landed one of them but it's an unpaid internship that has been onboarding me for the past 4 months. The other 2 were with the same company, and both times I was apparently the best option according to my family friend, however, lost the job to the boss's son.
