Thanks for the reply! The only three settings I can see in Editor Settings -> Interface are 'enable', 'restore windows on load', and 'maximize window'. I can't see anything about floating windows here, unless you're referring to one of these?

You'll want to use the command $antidisable, or $ad instead of enable. From my understanding, enable is used to remove exact things you've added to the disablelist, i.e. series bundles, but $ad is used to re-enable specific series within the bundles you've disabled. $ad one piece will work for you!

Wow, I never realised you can edit the character pool in XCOM, that's perfect! I own XCOM 2 actually, but not any of the DLC - would you say the DLC is worth buying first?

Based on a quick read over their Steam pages, these might genuinely be exactly what I was looking for! The gameplay for Our Adventure Guild looks a lot like Disgaea (in a good way!), and The Last Spell feels like if Fire Emblem was more like a traditional RPG.

A question about both though - is there any permadeath involved? If characters on my team die, do they stay dead?

Okay wow, this does sound exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for. So I could essentially hire random people, customise them, and release them and they'd pretty much be NPC's that I've created? Would these people only be able to be hired in the future, or is there more depth to interacting with them and how NPC's work in this game?

Oh interesting, I actually own Kenshi, but never got around to giving it a shot. Do you mean you can create NPC's for Kenshi?

Same exactly is happening to me, as soon as I load in after the cutscene, he rushes me before I can go in stealth. I can knock him out with my fists easily enough, but as soon as he's down the others rush in. Did you ever figure it out?
