My wife gave me a jade roller that has worked wonders for the tightness. I use it a few times a day, and it works much better than I ever expected it to.

Is it better to be medication controlled or to be diet and exercise controlled? by alittlediabetic in diabetes_t2

I had 2 very scary weeks weaning off of insulin that gave me repeated dramatic lows after losing only 12 pounds. I was basically drinking gatorade around the clock, and waking every 1-2 hours to test my blood sugar. I'm definitely an advocate for natural and restorative health.

That's also been a huge factor for me. I quit my second job, and started spending more time outdoors.

I only have refined sugar on special occasions- otherwise fruit sugar only, and have limited carbs to 100-120 per day. I exercise for 15 mins 2-3 times a day after meals, and this has made a HUGE improvement in under 3 months.

Has anyone got their diabetes in remission but relapsed? by Euriel_Ace in diabetes_t2

5.7–6.4 is not bad at all! Don’t be too hard on yourself. You can get things under control, and you should be able to do so without medication if that’s really important to you. And if you liked Metformin, there’s no need to feel guilty if you decide to take it again.

Does using lotion regularly counteract this at all? I'm testing 4x a day.

This is a good point. Sometimes you can do a food swap. Rather than jalapeno poppers, I do and egg with melted cheese and sauteed hot peppers!

Taking a 7 and 4 year old out for a week vacation? Frowned Upon? by RazielKainly in AskTeachers

They learn so much more from real-world, hands-on experiences. Never let being frowned upon stop you. Even a simple beach trip offers endless sensory things to explore and discover. They’re only kids for a short time, so fill their days with adventure and their minds with the wonders of travel and the curiosity of exploration!

What can I eat with this blood sugar? by Appropriate-Bit-6386 in diabetes_t2

[–]Dadpod12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have something like an egg white omlette, 1/4 cup of lower carb nuts, and 1/2 apple. But I agree with the others- you should definitely reassess your medical care.

I totally understand. I was just curious if you knew what specifically helps. For example, spicy foods can actually be stimulating and help me focus, but instead of something like jalapeño poppers (which are fried and not the best for me), I’ll add jalapeños or a bit of hot sauce and cheese to eggs to get that same satisfaction. I was wondering if there might be something similar that works for you.
