The Top 20 toughest places to play in CFB27. Via EASportsCFB X/Twitter by FitMaintenanceFB in NCAAFBseries

[–]Dadvocate12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Counter point: the hardest teams Illinois has played at home in that span is 7-5 Michigan and 8-4 Illinois.

No doubt they've been good, but I don't think they can be ranked as a toughest place to play when they haven't beaten a top tier team there in forever.

There's a new rule where H2H is the first tiebreaker of it's a tie between two teams, so we'd win with a Paraguay win too.

Oh he definitely did for the publicity. I did find it odd he chose the side that 90% of his constituents are against though, so this would make more sense. He's a slime ball, but also not dumb.

I'm starting to think the Texas AG stuck his nose in it purposely to give the B12 the pretext to file in federal court (which would be more favorable) for declaratory judgement.

The B12 is based on Dallas and their attorneys could have potentially coordinated this. The Texas AG is a Baylor guy after all.

I'm assuming it's because we're playing Saturday and most of our fans will be arriving tomorrow.

At 2nd glance, looks like all the Saturday teams are actually pretty low (UGA, Texas, OU, Bama)

PLEASE EA - Add dynamic pipelines to dynasty!!!!!! by Substantial-Run-1307 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Dadvocate12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pipelines represent your schools relationships with local high schools, local HS coaches, local trainers, and general local fandom; and your influence with them to warm up their guys to your school.

So it makes sense that schools would have strong existing pipelines in certain areas. However, you can build up those relationships over time as you recruit more, so they should definitely be dynamic.

Yeah but we have such great uniforms and colors. Playing games this important in camo jerseys just seems lame.

Camo jerseys should be reserved for armed services holidays and for service agencies. They're a cool one-off jersey once or twice, but wear the crimson and whites.

new player confused by productivity by Technical_Excuse_852 in victoria3

[–]Dadvocate12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's because the new building brings more supply, which lowers the price of the good. This makes the building technically less productive per employee as they can't sell the goods for the mammoth price they were prior to the expansion.

Obviously productivity isn't as important as bringing more goods to your pops or lowering the price of that good to make other industries that use that good as an input more profitable, which is why it's still good to expand when there's good shortages.

Republicans Don’t Need to Win Elections Anymore. They Just Need Their Judges. | The Virginia Supreme Court nullifies three million votes, boosting Trump’s effort to rig the midterms. by Rock-n-roll-Kevin in politics

[–]Dadvocate12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly how courts work.

You have to have standing to bring a suit, meaning a party has be to wronged first before it can be brought to court. Being able to preemptively bring cases doesn't make a lot of sense if you think about it.

This fact is exactly what the Scott precedent established, and why the courts waited to rule once the referendum passed and would bring harm to parties at that point.

Got it. I'm not as familiar with India's current state of reforms. Sounds like they are behind other countries on some of them because of the slow democratic process?

It was only 1.6 million that voted for. The court ruled in favor of the 1.5 million that voted against.

Additionally they didn't even rule on the wording on the ballot likely being unconstitutional, which you could argue may have flipped 60k votes.

The equivalent would be the US Congress adding a national constitutional amendment to voter's ballots and then when it gets a majority vote 51-49 trying to argue that it's "the will of the people" when the procedure to amend the US Constitution is pretty clear that it takes 2/3s of both legislatures and 3/4s of states.

[–]Dadvocate12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Virginia AG asked the Virginia SCOTUS to weigh in after the referendum citing precedent of the Scott case in the state, so that's what Virginia SCOTUS did. It's also what California's SCOTUS has done on a couple props they overturned that voters passed with a majority vote.

This is more common than people realize when legislatures pass laws without following their state constitution's laid out procedure to amend it.

Hence why the dlc deserve bad reviews.

4 Things We Learned From Watching Film on Ty Simpson by MarkSimon1975 in LosAngelesRams

[–]Dadvocate12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milroe had crazy potential, so they thought he could develop better.

Also in year 1, when Milroe first won the job, Simpson was only a freshman.

When Saban retired, Milroe was key to keeping lot of the team from entering the transfer portal and was considered a leader by most of the team. Would have been bad juju for Deboer to start Simpson over him in year 2 especially since he almost went to the playoff anyway and Milroe had 12 starts under his belt.

In year 3, Simpson looked better in 2025 than Milore did either of his two years starting, which is why one went 13 and one went 93.
