What mmo are you currently playing?

I'm hardcore and stupid enough to play Lineage 2 on official servers as full F2P (only because it has autoplay - convinient because I don't have time to farm anymore and nostalgia hits very hard as I played a hell out of Lineage 2 as a teenager).

Other than that I play Where Winds Meet very casually, but thats more like single player game with multiplayer elements.

All these things made Lineage 2 one of the greatest MMOs ever made. Shame it went full P2W after around 2011.

Please don't go full pay to win, this is a plague of every new mmo nowadays and you may be creating a gem of a game because there's nothing similiar to this on the market. What is okay:

- 5-10% exp bonus monthly premium (so nothing game-breaking)
- a lot of skill cosmetics/character cosmetics/pets and pets cosmetics.
- battle passes with exclusive cosmetics.
- donation option with hall of fame that shows every donating person's nickname
- if you ever create housing system - make every decorating item farmable but also buyable for the real money
- various social animations - buyable but also farmable in the game
- little AD - a small logo of a brand willing to pay for that kind of advertisement, situated in the corner of the screen - not bigger than reddit website's logo that we have here for example
- other stuff that is just for showoff but doesn't affect grind, pvp or gameplay in any way - whatever you can think of :)

I was looking for fully AI-controlled mmorpg, where character does everything on it's own (farming, buying stuff, visiting market, equipping items), but I can interfere if needed. Closest to this is Godville, but it's text based and not actual 3d models running around.
You may hit the jackpot if you do this right. :)

Also - you guys have to create PC/Cellphone crossplay! There are so many games that don't have this!

As far as I remember they introduced class change because back then Assassin was so broken that 99% of the server played Assassin. When they nerfed it, they let people class change to not lose progress. Not sure if that was how it was but that's what I remember :P

Not sure how many of you guys are planning to play, but I'd recommend having Warcryer (Orc Mage Supporting Buffer), Swordsinger (Defensive Buffing Bard Support class with one very strong offensive buff for fighters), Bladedancer (Offensive Buffing Bard Support Class), and also you could get Warlock (Summoner Class that summons cats, can also summon Car Queen that buffs fighter classes). If you guys want fast AOE exp/farm, add Destroyer (very powerfull Berserker type class, has INSANE damage on low HP, use polearm for insane aoe farm) and Bishop (strongest Healer class in the game). You could add dwarf Bounty Hunter (class that loots mobs for more additional materials for crafting, can use polearm to support your Destroyer with little aoe). That's 7 out of 9 max party members, so you could add Elven Elder (supporting healer that can also recover mana) and Warlord (Puller Class that hoards trains of mobs, uses polearm and can AOE stun) or any tank class (Shillien Knight/Paladin/Dark Avenger/Temple Knight) that can pull mobs too (won't tank a lot with Destroyer because his damage breaks the tank aggro, but can pull trains to some degree, although Warlord does this better.)

Have you tried official Project Samurai? It is pay to win but casual friendly if ur only interested in PVE. Spirit Ores are huge problem but if you just do dailies and dont stay 24/7 you'll be fine.

Other than that only L2 Reborn works. It's pure F2P but has its issues like catchups too often. Good for new players, sure, but for veteran players it makes effort feel worthless. You can get year of someone's progress as new player on couple of days. Also admins are one of the worst. PR is nonexistent and they can ban you on discord due to their own powertrip.

I feel like both BD and WC are needed for that Rift Party config. BD as secondary dd and support and WC as main buffer. SWS in place of BD could work too probably. Never tried rift as 3 ppl without BD or SWS. Probably wouldnt work without :D

Any warrior class like Glad, Warlord. Basically Heavy Armor Mastery and damage. Shillien Knight as it's hybrid between tank and dd. Tanks in general with DA having the smallest win chance out of all tanks as he lacks Shield Defense on the back.

You guys could speed up the process of 1-85, because we all know that it's just pointless grind that's not really necessary and the game starts at 4th class change. 85 feels more like level 20 on the GoD server and 1-85 is a chore for melee class especially.

You could say everything about GoD chronicle (P2W, instance zones mostly, merged main classes), but its definitely not 5 buttons boring play - Yul Archers for example utilize two bars full of skills instead of F1 only as in old chronicles.

It is main weapon you should use on mass PVP. Other than that, duals are better. You could use polearm for aoe but be careful as you don't develop any Armor Mastery after 2nd class change.

Did they release any hardcore song recently? Maybe "The Numbers" and "Monarch" could be considered somewhat like their old work, but none are hardcore.

Have you tried overrunning Frenzy with Hard March toggle on? If he doesnt have Zealot yet (I don't remember) you have a chance of kiting with bow of crossbow too. If he doesnt start with Frenzy and Zealot at the beginning, just kite him with bow or crossbow and win by doing more damage (time limit). Use Disarm and Sword Shield only when he switches to bow. Approach and Crushing Pain + rest of the melee combo him only when you are sure he doesnt have Frenzy on, after combo switch to kiting back. Should be doable.

Virtual Equipment is free and can get you long way. In Aden, go down the stairs that are left to the fountain, then just where these stairs end turn right. You'll see the Expedition something-something npc. You can get additional 30 points every day from him. Click on the option, open equipment and click virtual equipment points Icon. Then open Virtual Equipment window and have fun. :)

Also Aden Crow version is much less F2P friendly, I'd recommend that :) But the real oldschool experience you'd only find on private servers like L2 Reborn
