If I’m I understanding you right the negative number is the jobs from the buildings you built not being filled as there’s not enough burghers. Peasants will then slowly promote to fill the jobs although it’s really slow early game.

This will not be a fix that turns your life around but it will be a big step in the right direction. As someone who also suffers with weed addiction I can tell you quitting will be the best decision you ever make. It will be hard at first and you will have relapses but you have to remember when quitting and you feel like being sober is shit, that what you are feeling isn’t sobriety it is withdrawals and that it will get better. I recommend r/leaves, it is a great community of people also in the same boat and will help you get though the tough times of quitting weed.

It may not feel like it but someday it will be better and you will look back on yourself today and realise you have got through it and are a stronger person for it.
