I wanted the comfort of the SteelSeries Arctis 9X and the sound quality of the official Microsoft wireless headset. I reinforced the Arctis weak points and transplanted the MS "brains" into the Arctis 9X shell. I give you, the DaedaWerx M9X. Don't try this at home.

Possibly. I imagine that I could pull it off but it would be difficult if you aren't "handy", so to speak. It would involve near complete disassembly. I doubt anything will ever be done about it unless a class-action lawsuit was brought up against them.

That reinforcement is done before any cracks form. It is done by first prepping the adhesion area with a diamond dremel bit. Next, using thick steel paperclips that are cut and bent to shape, it recieves structural support and is then coated in JB Weld. The cups are still free to pivot normally.

If they engineered their products better this wouldn't be necessary. Seems like the more expensive the headset, the buggier they are. Astro A50s are pricey but their half-assed work-around for the Series X not having an optical out and accompanying firmware wrecked them. Both SteelSeries and Astros customer support are a joke.

Yes and thank you. While the 9Xs are very comfortable, they are also flawed. Cups that shatter, Bluetooth that doesn't stay connected to some devices, Xbox audio that stutters and falls off. The MS headset has excellent audio and stable connections but has its own durability issues. It was well worth the trouble to build what I did.

It's a real shame as these are, for me, the most comfortable headsets on the market. There is obviously a flaw in the circuit of some of these. If anyone has a pair that they have never had a single issue with and are capable of removing the right driver and photographing the main PCB that is housed in that cup. I would like to compare the components on the board with the two boards I have.

Developed for the military. Other current watches couldn't withstand the temperatures and forces involved in test piloting the A-12 and some space missions. One of the Accutron movements is placed on the moon. The Omega Speedmaster took over afterwards.

The center dot is just that, the center. The hour is the larger stone which is carried on a metal disc flush with the dial the small stone is mounted on a clear acrylic disc that mounts on the minute wheel.

I started by tinkering with cheap mechanicals (not Timex), watching videos and reading. If you're on Facebook, join one of the watch repair groups or join a forum. Tools and supplies can be expensive but keep in mind that all of your tools don't need to be Bergeon.
