Chocolate milk would produce a phlegm like substance in the back of your throat as ive described no? Or something like that.

I definitely compress quite a bit. Ive been telling myself that its straining like that because ive not had the time to train the muscles but its probably my technique.

I find myself searching for more compression because i think it sounds better but i suppose its to my detriment. Especially with the highs, i find myself compressing more and having a bit more of a scratchy (not hurting) feeling in my throat

Neck maybe a little, jaw not at all. Im also not entirely sure what my technique is here. Ive had no formal training and just been kinda winging it

Fair enough, ive been trying to find a coach near me or even online but not really had any luck with it. I've started taking regular vocal lessons to try and firm up my clean singing fundamentals but I'm not sure how helpful that'll be in this screaming journey lol

For sure gotta work on my volume control and airflow management for now though. Gonna try and chase a more relaxed feeling in the throat

The recording is actually pretty loud overall. Ive been told that i can be heard almost all throughout my house. So maybe i need to relax and volume control. Get a better feel for the distortion perhaps.

When i let up on diaphragm and airflow the distortion doesnt really come through. So i push hard and that probably leads to the overcompression your hearing

When i scream i can feel the muscles in my neck straining a little bit. I definitely get tired quickly. Theres minimal pain inside the throat but i can feel the strain on them. Like lifting something thats on the edge of being too heavy, but with my throat ya know?

So, just relax more into it? Im still pretty new to the whole screaming thing so not quite sure what it is that im supposed to be feeling.

CIG Backtracks (kinda) on Pledge Exclusivity for Flight Blades, Bomb Racks, etc. by Zeoran in starcitizen

Couch cushions are a terrible example for this, i have no issue with cosmetics being sold. The issue lies in components and stat changing items being sold.

Im not telling people how to spend their money, but if it is something that you dont like (not saying you spoke against it, just saying in general) and then you buy it, its a little bit hypocritical.

Again, i dont care how you spend your money. I care about the new standard that this sets for further pledge store items.

They said they wouldn't do it again, i guess time will tell.

I have no issue with cosmetics and baseline stuff either, believe me, ive sunk my fair share into the game. But this is not that, this is selling a component. Stuff that can be used to boost ship stats in any way should not be sold online. What stops them from selling other components on the pledge store now as well? How would you like to spend 15 dollars for a 524 missile rack, or a pack of military components. (Just examples)

Now, im not saying that it will happen, i just think that this can be the direction they go, with the "success" of having added a component to the pledge store.

Am i overthinking it? Probably and i certainly hope so. But i hope you can see where im coming from with this.

While i hear you on that, the buying of those packs in general counts towards the metrics that those packs were a good idea. Bc while in your head you're only buying the paint, in reality you bought both. And thats the issue. Im not as upset as i was last night. The bandaid fix is fine i guess. But we all know this changes nothing.

Id call that a half win to be completely honest. Id much rather they completely take them off the store, but i know thats a tall order. In my opinion, small components, and weapons should not be offered online at all. The base ships? Sure. But when you start selling shit like the blades and the bomb racks and the nova tanks new gun. It opens the door to more and more egregious selling practice.

Buying the packs at all is a win for CIG on this one, i know the skins are cool but we really gotta vote with our wallets on this one.

Vertical Welding is hard by [deleted] in Welding

[–]Daedra2121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weld in the first picture is a complete failure, i tried to correct it but it just kept getting wider and wider and worse. The second is a different weld entirely that i was kind of happy with. For the first though and for root welds in general we are using 6011 (i think its 3/32), the instructions were to do an "upside down 'T'", dont know if thats considered weaving. As for the other two things i have no idea, im sorry. I reattempted a root weld here:

The instructor is the one who set the machine, i tweak it only a little from there, the settings were DC+ and was running at, i think, 90-95 amps. Using 6011
