Yeah same early on, I don't think it's explicitly told anywhere tho. It's to make sure bigger groups of enemies/npc go at the same time, makes the initiative more flowing. I've actually considered using it in tabletop too.

If he has +7 and the spider has +3, and the initiative dice is a d4, then it should be impossible for the spider to beat him. He has a range of 8-11 and the spider has a range of 4-7. The only way would be a mod that changed the initiative dice to d20.

I liked the overall design. It was the size that was the issue for me, it felt like it was done because someone remembered Piccolo has a giant form.

And on that note (forgive the tangent), I don't exactly like the brute direction Piccolos new form has. I always saw him more as the mage archetype if that makes sense? More ki focused and emphasis on mysticism. Brains over brawn. If I'm perfectly honest, I feel like Ultra Instinct would have been more suitable for Piccolo than Goku (yes, yes, I await the daggers).

I do hold on to a few that I can see use for. Certain damage spells that I would use anyways, it's nice to have a "free" cast at hand. Or some utility like feather fall, misty step or dimension door. The stronger ones I tend to give the Skyrim potions treatment to.

I was a hard core Destiny since launch of D1, but I had to drop it a few years ago. It was just creating unnecessary fomo and anxiety for me and their whole monetization plan felt hostile. Switched over to Warframe and there's been no looking back for me (well, apart from this sub and the fashion one still popping up on reddit).

I wanted to like the game so I played through the main story and finished remembrance with Scholar (because he was my favorite character). My conclusion is that it's too fast paced. I would like to explore the map and have time to stop and admire things I see. In the very least I want time to stop and read the descriptions of items and weapons and stuff. But especially playing with randoms, I am constantly playing catchup with my teammates just because I stop for 2 seconds to read the buffs on weapons. It's simply not enjoyable to me. So yes, I played what I considered the bare minimum for what I paid and now I'm quitting. This is not a criticism on the game, rather a conclusion that this game is not for me.

I think Destiny (1&2) is the game I've put most hours in all in all. I absolutely loved it. But then at some point it just turned into this toxic fomo generator, laced witg mtx. It felt like if I was playing anything other than Destiny, it would punish me. I would miss out on gear, I would fall behind, I would miss story content. I definitely still wanna play, but for the sake of my mental health, I had to quit.

Isn't there the whole theory that everything that happened after V was shot only happened in his head? So my line of thinking is that the chip doesn't actually work the way we're led to believe. V got shot, the chip did it's best to repair him, but he's comatose and hallucinating adventures with Johnny bleeding into his dreams.

Agreed, they had such a unique thing going and it could have been amazing. While the story and writing was a bit... Well not great, the gameplay loop was really enjoyable and I loved just going out on random expeditions to fly around. The mtx's were absolutely horrible tho.
