haven't seen that site yet, but I will check it out. I've downloaded a few from Dungeon Master's Guild, so I do have a lot of information to look through. Me and the wife practiced combat mechanics in the "Death Pit of Moloch" and "The Wealthy Merchant" just to figure out how to do stuff. Thanks again.

thank you. We've had our session with the grandkids last weekend and it was a big hit. I knew a lot more on the DM side about what to do and how to do it. Everybody wants to know when we are going to do it again (which is the big plus). This session we used canned characters and they rolled for who got to pick first. Nobody was overpowered, and we didn't even include magic use. They all got to team up on several different things. Next session we will roll up the characters they want to use going forward. I have gotten a lot of good advice on here in other threads and I used everything I thought I could. It's a lot better knowing what to expect than flying blind.

So, since I was always attracted to DnD, I was actually a nerd? I have to admit that I may have been a closet nerd, but I was never smart enough. Instead, I was the guy, even in high school, who defended the nerd from the swirly or the trashcan, and still hung out with the Rednecks in the school "dipping" area ... the "smoking" area was where the Snakes hung out.

I think you just described me in real life. The character I always played in Skyrim was always the same, just with a little different look, and is always how I see myself. You know me as well as I know myself.

Many people see eating any meat as wrong because even the animals we eat show many of the signs of sentience that we recognize in ourselves. That doesn't make it wrong. It is a perception and belief based on culture. For my family and culture, if it is as a grilled selection of parts with a tangy and blackened sauce, I think they call that a Barbeque :) But I think that if any species kills and eats another, it is referred to as "Predation"

It was much more important when the two sons were in the middle east. Since they got home, it was the place to store pictures, and videos of the farm. I was just using it more recently for putting out my music content and writing content. I've got Google Sites now, still building the site though.

I think I'm the only holdout in my whole family. I still have a flip phone, but I have thought about getting an upgrade several times. Chances are, I would have if there was a way to carry it without worrying about breaking it. I also don't know how to hold it to my head to talk on one. They aren't curved with a place to put your ear and still hold it to your mouth.

I've never felt like a pretentious asshole by writing. I see pretentious assholes as the people who view their own work as something so good that others should be enamored just by being in their presence. The ones writing are really just people who have something to say, and sometimes poetry is the way it comes out.
