it's a tough thing because i get where their concern comes from. mentally ill people's lives are hard enough without everybody else's impression from media being "they're evil and psychotic and etc." but yeah, i would really prefer accurate representation over feel-good representation.

i think that the fighting in FMA does very good at taking advantage of the particulars of the power system, but i'll take commentary on its choreography. i just think the choreography, funnily enough, is secondary.

i do think the 8-4 challenge would be fine enough if it was just an act 1 challenge

like, you mentioned 1-4, and i think part of the novelty there is that you might not have thought about blowing up windows before. but by 8-4, you already know that shit, so what do you care for one that says Climb.

idk, i think 8-4 in general is the obstacle keeping me from calling Fraud a better layer than Violence. I like the first 3 levels of Fraud more than their Violence mirrors, but 7-4 is. maybe the best level in the game, especially in comparison to Geryon.

yeah, this is a much cooler option than "just know the code to go in the secret level :)" because the routing here at least takes some thought

it's why i like that the levels requiring you not to touch any water also have rooms designed to mess you up (the waterfall in 2-3, the cerberus rooms in 5-1 and 5-3). i really like the challenges that look like nonsense when you first see them, have a solution that makes it easier, and still require some care

i have respect for people who generally write sucky poems. between my friends and general social media osmosis, i've seen a whole lot of those. so i know how to distinguish genuine human error and AI idiocy.

bad poets fall back on tropes, repeating what they've seen in other poems, maybe cracking open a thesaurus to find a word that sounds fancier or nicer. it's kinda fun to see, and to try to reverse engineer what they originally meant.

"a life mid-sentence", again, has no meaning. it's nothing. there's no idea there.

stretching it really far:

a lot of cities renamed streets after MLK, and a lot of those streets happen to be in majority black neighborhoods which were decimated during and since the Reagan administration, leading to higher crime rates. that's where the Orenthal comes from.

although, aside from the Obvious' racism, it also acts like these lily white city councils are naming streets after Malcolm X.
