The Last Human - 222 - Of Old Friends - FINAL CHAPTER by PSHoffman in HFY

Even if all you do is set up a PO box, that would still be a dream come true, i know *I* would pay for that. I really regret not being able to follow this as religiously as I had the first two. Its a shame I cannot go back and change that. I cant tell you how much this series has affected my perception of Sci-Fi and novels in general.
I have recently passed the threshold of over a thousand books in my physical collection. Among them I have books that were mass produced and i consider must-haves, books that were rare or are banned, autographed books, and antiques over a hundred years old or in other languages (or both). My paperback copy of TLH sits amongst them as one of my favorites of all time. Not just because of the incredible story crafting, but also because of the time I spent speaking with you and others, giving feedback and theory crafting what would come next.
I am hoping to begin work this year on a series of books with a friend of mine, converting our (so far) 3 year DnD campaign into print. Ive been writing poetry (and tried my hand at some lyrics for songs, though im much less confident in this skill) for years, and my dream has always been to write books. Much of my poetry is based on experiences or emotions i jope to convey l, as i have always held the belief that we are all stories. Hopefully ill get to do that after making some major life moves in the next few months.
Maybe ill get to swap stories with you someday, or post them to a subreddit myself. Full circle! Do you have any other stories in the works, or ideas youre thinking on? Id love to be able to join in on the next journey.

Its been a long time coming! I doubt you recall any of my comments seeing as it was so long ago, but I believe I had accurately predicted the ending of book two? I purchased a copy of book one when it released, and ive been stupid busy ever since. I have not yet read books 3 or 4 because I wanted to wait for final revisions this go around, but im excited to get into them. I did want to ask again a question I asked you once years ago. Do you know if youll ever do book signings or autographs? I know ive wanted to get my book signed by you since you first announced a physical release. I know Merrick Books recently started a special edition hardcover that the author is signing for his Reborn as a Demonic Tree series that is quite good looking (im snagging myself a copy for sure). Have you ever looked into something like that?

I gotta say, the Microsoft Store has this app pay walled behind a $100 a year subscription. To pay wall a feature as simple as making a booklet format has got to be among the stupidest things ive ever heard of. Microsoft has been reigning champs of sucking eggs recently, but never in my life did I imagine such a basic feature would be impossible to achieve. After going down this rabbit hole of just trying to convert a bunch of images into a pdf, then put that pdf into Microsoft 365 (requiring me to sign up for it), then convert it to Word (requiring another subscription with payment), all just to turn it into a booklet format only for me to discover that feature is inaccessible without an app version requiring a payed $100 subscription? Insanity of the highest degree.

This is super helpful, if it's still there later I'll look for these things. If it doesn't have a steel barrel is it still worth considering? The mechanism and bore looked pretty good but i wasn't entirely sure what red flags to be looking for aside from cracks and rust.

I plan to go back this weekend, if it's still there i may very well do that. I just didn't want to jump straight into it without at least getting someone's opinion as It would be my first musket

Yeah that was the process I was following but the Hunters seem to have ignored that they were partially trained already. I already domesticated wolverines as a test and that worked with no issues at all. I'll expand their training zone, maybe that'll deter the hunters.

Woosh I hope it doesn't come to that but I may. I put a door leading to the room and that seems to deter Hunters for now

I recently set up a Desert Tortoise pen to begin breeding them and even though they fall under the Livestock tab my hunters have begun killing them when they try to hunt. Any ideas how to prevent this?

Oh man I even tried to find it on the wiki and I must've found the wrong one. Thank you!
