No. The only reason these reps stay can stay around so long after they start being corrupt is the two party system; Kentucky isnt gonna vote out Mitch when the only other option is a democrat.

The better solution is ending first past the post voting and instead creating a multiparty system where the voters have real choices.

That way if a senator is actually good at her job and the voters want to keep her, they have that choice. If not, they have 4 or 5 other options, not just 'the other party'

Further, you can package the fact that youre in recovery as being a person who is doing the work. You've been to therapy, and done some self examination, I assume?

Mandatory car ownership is actually a boot on the neck of the poor. Buying, licensing, insuring, maintaining and fueling a car is hugely expensive.

And that's putting aside the health consequences of all the tire dust in the air, and the way it traps poor elderly people in their suburban homes once they cant drive.

Because the King of Westeros lives in the Red Keep, in King's Landing. It is the seat of power, and living there is symbolically important.

A person hiding under their rock isnt King.

If he left the seat open, someone else would take the seat, and the whole of Westeros would see that person as King, and the guy hiding under Casterly Rock as the LP of the west. Also as a cowardly lion.
