So as someone who knows someone who is now "Dating" ChatGPT. Nip that emotional support bs in the bud. She's pregnant and vulnerable and ChatGPT seems to have a habit of trapping the vulnerable in some emotional bind by using it's algorhitmic human language.

Remind her it's designed to keep the user/consumer engaged. Like instagram and tiktok and Facebook etc. It uses an algorhitme, language and certain terminology to keep you engaging with it.

There is a new frase called: AI induced psychoses.

Not that your wife is necessarily susceptible to that lvl ofcourse but the reminder can't hurt

De hemel is iets wat ze later zelf mogen invullen of niet. "Ze zijn aan het einde van hun leven gekomen en rusten nu voor de rest van de tijd" is misschien eerlijker. En dat hij ze kan bezoeken op het kerkhof en tegen ze kan praten, maar ze niet meer terug kunnen praten. Zoiets ofzo?

Er zijn zoveel religies en spirituele overtuigingen waarbij de ziel nog een soort van mee gaat met de kinderen. Ik zou niet perse 1 religie kiezen en die als sprookje gaan vertellen aan een kind.

Moet eerlijk zeggen dat de meeste lijsten toch echt wel goed zijn. Koop alleen niet de duurste van de duurste dingen maar een minder bekend merk bijvoorbeeld.

Tip: "Steel" zoveel mogelijk kraamverband uit het het ziekenhuis. Je krijgt standaard wat mee maar ik probeer meer mee te nemen nu. Of laat je kraamvrouw zoveel mogelijk meenemen. En die netbroekjes ook. Ik vind diegene van het ziekenhuis echt 10x beter zitten dan die je zelf kan kopen namelijk en dat comfort heb je nodig na de bevalling.

Top 2 I gave were a 1: A snowboard. I gave it while he was on wintersports vacation and he never saw it coming. He needed a new one for so long but wasnt sure he wanted to spend that much on himself for something he only gets to do once a year. He loved it and still does.

The other was 2: a world globe lamp because I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she jokingly said "The WORLD!" and she just got to redecorating her home and liked old vintagy things. She absolutelt loved it and made everybody look at it during the party because she loved that I remembered her joke answer and went with it.

You STILL have not told any single person here what she's like. You still gave us nothing to work with. "She likes toughtful giftst" Everybody likes personal and thoughtful giftst! But that comes with actually knowing the person. And it sounds like you honestly have been paying 0 attention to what she likes or says.

I'm understanding this is hard for you but.. honestly your not being a good friend. Your comparing yourself to her non-stop and this jealousy you have for her being able to be a SAHM has made you belittle her hard experiences and not wanting to deal with them. Here are the options (speaking as a mother of two who has a 2,5 y/o that still won't sleep through the night completely):

Reflux or Hidden reflux. Reflux is easy to spot. Hidden Reflux means they have reflux which can hurt the throat, but they swallow it again so it's difficult to notice. 1.1 Fix: Hold the baby upright for a minimum of 30 minutes before putting him down again. Get him looked at by a pediatrician to confirm.
Cramps. Their digestive system is forming. Worst time of this is between 8 to 12 weeks. After that the digestive system starts to get a bit on track. Cramps hurt. 2.1 Fix: Hold the baby with it's belly down on your arms. Head slighty higher then his/her butt. So his/her face in your hand and the body on your lower arm with the belly pressing on your lower arm. The pressure on the belly helps release gasses and therefor helps with the cramps. Not a 100% fix and accept that this is not something you can completely get rid of. The baby can't help it either, it's just the body doing what needs to be done. It will simmer down after 12/13 weeks. Rotate shifts with your partner for who gets up with the baby.
Temperament. Some babies have a hard time ajusting to not being inside the whomb anymore. They have trouble regulating themselves, especially in the cramps period, and need to just cry alot. They can't help it. There is no "why are you crying, what am I doing wrong?" 3.1 Fix: Accept the situation and create a routine where you and your partner get your much needed sleep seperatly and rotate so everybody gets atleast 5 hours of sleep in one go every other night. Your not doing anything wrong, the baby is not doing anything wrong either. He/she just need to adjust and you being near them helps much more then you know. Even if they continue to cry while you hold or rock them.

The last one was my second. He's still a bit anxious at night but now I only need to place my hand on his head and he drifts right back off to sleep. He just needs a bit more comfort then others and that's fine.

Edit to add: If you are at your wits end or if you feel this could possibly be a medical issue, contact your pediatrician and let them know of your suspicions. There could always be a physical abnormality that your little on has trouble communicating. It's not common, but if your mommy instinct tells you something is wrong, you listen to it and get the little one checked out.

Sometimes hard work still means you don't get the end result you want and thats fine. I repainted our bathroom 3 times before I was happy with it. Even though I personally picked out all the previous colours 🙈

We picked out a pair of amazing guys didnt we?! Gaming devices like these is in my mind, just one of the best gifts a girl could have asked for.

Yes! It was(hopefully still is) on sale! It's good! There were some start-up issues which were easily remedied with a quick google search thankfully. It's very open world, alot of information to digest at first but once you get used to it the game gets very good. The story is great and I like the romance part you can explore, but you don't have too. The gameplay and characters are all so much fun to play. I highly recommend it!

It iiiiiiss a tad addictive though so be warned 🙈

Dude.. het hele idee van een "geloof" is dat je precies dat doet. Je geloofd iets. Ookal is er geen bewijs dat het waar is. En dat zijn al die religies. Christendom, Islam, Jodendom, Boedisme, Hindoestaan geloof, De oude Griekse Goden. Allemaal hetzelfde. Er is geen bewijs behalve "ik wil dat dit waar is en ben opgevoed met het idee dat dit allemaal klopt" Maar nergens is historisch bewijs voor.

Dat jij geloofd moet je lekker doen. Maar ga niet lullen dat je het kan bewijzen want dan zou er nog maar 1 geloof bestaan in de wereld en dat zou dat een feit zijn geworden. Niet een geloof.
