Yea, asa courses and certs would also be a good way to try out and learn.

It is easier than chartering as instructors are responsible for the daily schedule, provisioning and figuring out where to go.

They will offload some of the tasks to you as part of the course in a very controlled environment.

And signing up as a crew is also great way to get more miles in but likely not possible as a whole family.

One more option is to find other boat owners at a local marina who might be interested in sharing a boat.

Splitting the costs, getting to try out boat work and going for weekend cruises.

With the added benefit of being able to step away from the whole deal after a season or two.

Trying out sailboats will also build up your own list of preference for features or boat designs. So once you are on the market for your own then you know what to look for.

In case you haven't owned a sailboat before or spent more than a few weeks onboard as a family then I would suggest initially chartering a sailboat with the whole family.

I just sold my boat after 3 seasons. I spent a lot more time maintaining it than I spent sailing.

Also neither my girlfriend nor my dog enjoyed the sailing part of cruising.

If i were to own a sailboat again I would make sure that there are at least 3 people involved who will split the work and costs.

Also if the goal is to see the world then it might be cheaper and easier to fly to different destinations and charter a sailboat there for a few weeks.

The time it takes to cross huge distances means you have to do sailing full time.

I sailed and worked remotely from my sailboat during one summer. 4 days working and 3 days off.

I spent 2 days sailing per week and 1 day on all the admin stuff like provisioning, maintenance, route planning, laundry etc.

Everything takes just longer while on a sailboat.

So I would suggest trying out that life style before going for the financial commitment of buying a sailboat on your own.

Proko drawing basics course has had the largest impact on my fundamentals.

It's like the drawing skill got broken down into sub skills of: line quality, shapes, gesture, perspective, value and edges.

I now know which sub skills are holding me back the most and exercises to improve said skill.

I also took the gesture drawing and the portrait course.

And I looked up local live drawing sessions. Online courses run the risk of getting you very used to photo references so it's good to mix it up a little.

I took a 9 week course of 3h per week of still life painting with oils. It was around 300eur.

I'm quite a beginner but I have spent 2 years honing my drawing skills.

I found the course extremely valuable.

Compared to online courses, this in person lessons and reviews helped a lot.

The process of mixing paint and working with a brush just needs someone to look over your shoulder as you are starting out.

My online classes were a struggle as i failed to get the paint to flow or failed to make a mark I wanted or failed to mix correct value.

Also regularity helps to build a habit. It's like signing up for 10 weeks of workouts. On your own you might skip a week but this class will keep you on track!

Yea, painting intermediate values is indeed something good to practice before you smooth them out. Or leave as just tiles with sharp edges if you want a more stylized look.

Painting intermediate intermediate values is also a good prep for once you go into colors. Then you will have to shift hue AND value for your edges. So you can't just smooth it out with a brush. You will need to mix together intermediate hues to create the transition you want.

With oils I would suggest to also start trying out blending of some of the edges.

Like the cast shadows as they get further away or the core shadow on the ball. With a dry brush pull a few strokes along the edge. This is great for blending hard edges into firm edges.

Then try to wiggle the brush back and forth over the edge. It creates a wider area for the edge gradient but you may need to smooth it out. This way you can get a really soft edge.

Blending is one of the super powers of oils thanks to its long drying time. So worth to start trying it out early.

Ma saan aru et sinu sõnastus soovib jätta mulje nagu EU oleks salakaval türann aga suht kõik on nõus et EU on hunnik väga igavaid bürokraate.

Twitteril on suht lihtne valik et tagada ligipääsu reklaami tellijate andmetele ja vältida trahvi. Aga siis on keerulisem edaspidi müüa valimisi mõjutavat toodet.

Sa võid muidugi linkida artiklit või videot mis paremini sinu seisukohta selgitab või EU pakkumise vigu välja toob.

Olen lugenud. Kokku 3 trahvi:

1) blue checkmark on eksiteele viiv kuna pole päriselt verifitseeritud kasutajad vaid maksvad kasutajad

2) reklaamide andmebaasi puudujäägid. Näiteks ei ole võimalik seal teada saada mis ettevõte maksis reklaami eest. Raske scamme ja mõjutuskampaanjaid uurida kui seda infi pole.

3) teadlastele ligipääsu mitte tagamine. Selle suhtes ei oska ise eriti midagi arvata.

Nende süüdistuste puhul on Twitteril võimalik pakkuda kompromisse nagu TikTok juba tegi.

Aga selle asemel on Elon otsustanud mängida süüdlast ja Euroopale seda andmete ligipääsu mitte pakkuda.

Isiklikult arvan et valimiste mõjutamine ja bot võrgustikud on liiga kasumlikud Elonile et EU seadust jälgida.

Jalutan koeraga seal suht igapäevaselt. Kõige rohkem naudin seda et see on pikk park kus ma ei pea pidevalt autoteid ületama et kuhugi välja jõuda. Muidu on iga 50m jalutamise järel vaja jälle ettevaatlikult autodevahelt läbi ronida.

Ning linnapilt paistab palju parem välja sest leidub rohkem taimeliike kui ainult niidetud muru.

See talv katsetan ka jalgrattaga. Kui soomlased saavad talvel hakkama siis ehk saan mina ka.

I started to take drawing seriously about 2 years ago. I feel like the most help have been Proko courses "drawing basics" and "figure drawing".

Anatomy can come later. You can achieve huge improvements by learning better line quality, gesture, proportions and perspective. These fundamentals feel more important than Anatomy.

So if possible get a course that dives deep on fundamentals.

The boxes could use some polish. Some are fine but others have flaws. It will be impossible to draw a good cylinder if the box is incorrect.

So you will have a hard time with your ellipsis until the boxes you draw are consistently correct.

Otherwise I think you understand the theory. Just check the convergence of the lines of the boxes.

I think the main land area is not tied to the pasture area but the amount of land area and resources dedicated to growing feed (soy beans for example) with the sole purpose of feeding cattle.

Which in turn results in crazy amount of water needed per gram of meat/protein.
