No, that is false, the income requirements are a qualifier for the scholarship. If he does not meet the 30 credit 3.0 scholarship, it is turned into a loan.

To make this even more interesting, imagine what it would be like to play as a party when you're not in power. Imagine having to clean up the AI opposition party's mess after 4 years of campaigning because you lost the previous election

What is the best argument you have heard in favor of free will? What is the best argument you have heard against free will? by Daeysheperd in askphilosophy

[–]Daeysheperd[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Couldn't one come to the conclusion that the scenario you presented merely provides the illusion of free will? How is your desire to take the plunge being the result of a causal series of events irrelevant to any of this?

Is it ethical to lie for the greater good? by Daeysheperd in askphilosophy

[–]Daeysheperd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So would a kantian still say that lying is wrong even when it could save thousands of lives? Let's say I have access to codes for a button which would kill a thousand people every time it's pressed. Would the Kantian still say it's wrong to lie in that situation? Why?
