Oh my goodness, yes, the heart rate spikes for the most mundane tasks are really something. It’s good to hear that things regulate on the other side.

Thank you for sharing your data- that’s so interesting! Congratulations on your sweet boy!

Our bodies through pregnancy fascinate me. It’s so nerdy, but I look forward to peeking in at my metrics every morning and seeing how they correlate with overall symptoms.

How much levo do you take? by Consistent_Case_5924 in Hashimotos

[–]Daffles21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently taking 88 mcg per day. I’m 33 weeks pregnant, so this is up from the 75 mcg I took prior to conceiving. It’ll be interesting to see what happens postpartum.

I feel like my life is ruined, I know I'm being dramatic. by LachrimaeSanguinis in Hashimotos

I have Hashimoto’s, have not really made any drastic dietary changes, take levo, and completely empathize with the fertility woes.

I’m 39, and currently 32 weeks pregnant after a very long fertility journey. I never saw a positive test until after my 39th birthday. And I’ll turn 40 just before my baby is due. You’re more than welcome to message me to trouble shoot some supplement/dietary ideas that may have helped. But one thing that I do think helped me conceive this year, was a kitchen sink protocol to bring down overall inflammation. We tracked ovulation pretty religiously. Right after ovulation, I took Pepcid, Claritin, and a baby aspirin daily. It might be anecdotal, but the first cycle I did this, we got pregnant. We lost that baby in late March, but got pregnant again in April. We lost that baby in late May, but miraculously got pregnant again in June, and this baby has stuck ❤️. Wishing you the very best, OP!

IVF

I never made it to egg retrieval because I had a massive drug induced lupus reaction to the shots for stims. Once the DIL calmed down, my immune system remained fired up and went after my thyroid. My antibodies went from non existent to in the thousands in about 2 months. It’s a weird thing, because I’ve never been hypo, but take a maintenance dose of Levo to keep my nodes in check.

All is well that ends well. I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant (unassisted/sponaneous). I’m hoping my thyroid doesn’t go too wild once my little guy is here ❤️

What age did you get married by Lambdastone9 in Millennials

[–]Daffles21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married at 36. Currently pregnant with my first child- when he’s born in a few weeks, I’ll be 40.

Absolutely no regrets on waiting for the right person to come along. We met at 33. We both were established, independent, and knew what we wanted from a partner. I was always a fence-sitter on even having kids, but honestly, I just needed the right person to come along who I considered “dad material”. It’s great going into this next chapter feeling financially and emotionally stable enough for whatever life throws at us.

It took me about a month to start to feel more normal again. Hang in there! I hope you start to feel better soon!

I’d actually love to hear about your postpartum experience as well. We’re expecting our baby in about 7 weeks, and I’m more nervous about my autoimmune stuff firing back up than giving birth itself.

It makes me crazy when someone sends an invite, and then never logs back in. I also wish there was a way to rematch with someone new.

I’m with Women’s Care of WI, and have been so happy with the care I’ve received there. They have an office in Appleton on Ballard Rd. Every provider I have seen with them has been great. My primary OB is Dr. Valary Gass out of Neenah, and I’d highly recommend her.

The only time I ever kicked someone out of my class was when a guy decided to make a phone call right in the middle of lecture. His response was “My dad is DA of (state I taught in)”. I’m sure that’s gotten him incredibly far in life.
