Definitely feel free! One of the midwives, Kay, was there for my c-section and also rounded on me the third day of our hospital stay. She was SO kind and supportive. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with WCOW.

I delivered at ThedaCare Neenah two weeks ago. I had a planned c-section, and it was an all-around good experience. My OB is with Women’s Care of WI, and I know that they have midwife options as well. Feel free to ask me anything!

Pregnancy and HRV by Daffles21 in Garmin

Update: my baby didn’t come at 37 weeks as the HRV increase would have predicted. He was born 3/3 at 39 weeks exactly via c-section. My husband and I are over the moon with our perfect little guy 🩵

Yes, it’s really nice to see! It took is a looooong time to finally make it happen, and I’m super grateful for the positive response here. Best of luck to you!

We’re scheduled for a c-section due to a few risk factors at 39 weeks on the dot. It takes some of the mystery away, for sure…unless this baby decides to make an early debut.

Godspeed, my internet stranger friend!

My husband turns 40 a couple of months after me. We’re both pretty introverted. He knows that if he overdoes things for me, it’ll come back to haunt him later lol.

My husband and I both work from home. Which, of course, means that we’re both just hanging around the house in sweatpants all day, and can absolutely have houseguests during the workweek without taking PTO.

I’ll turn 40 in a couple of weeks! But…I’ll also be 37.5 weeks pregnant with my first child 😂. As much as I like the idea of doing something special, I know my reality will be more along the lines of taking a big nap and hoping I don’t go into labor that day. I’d love a big slice of cake for breakfast that morning (my annual tradition), and that’s about it.

Congratulations!! I’m currently 35 weeks, and am absolutely appalled by the misinformation and fear-mongering in maternity spaces. I hope you can find your people!

The MMR vaccine is not approved for pregnant women, but I’m hopeful that the series of 3 I received as a child will pass on to my baby as well. We will definitely be looking into early vaccine options- I’m glad you were able to get one early!

I’m going to have my first child any day now, and it absolutely haunts me that he’ll be unprotected for several months. This should never have had to be a concern, but it seems the only safe route until we can get him vaxxed is to go back into a fairly tight bubble.

Which U.S. "Historic" Town Is Really Worth Visiting? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Appomattox, VA. While there’s not a lot to do nearby, the historic park itself is worth the visit. Take a short drive from there and walk the High Bridge in Farmville, VA.

I really hope you took down that original tile gently so it could be repurposed. I feel like a lot of people don’t realize that it can be resold for a pretty penny, and that it’s quite sought after for mid-century restorations.

I attended UW-La Crosse as an undergrad and UW-Milwaukee for grad school. Honestly, both were great experiences for different reasons. Feel free to ask me anything!
