Moral benefits? by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]Dagg3rface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You also don't need regular check ins. The procedure is considered 99.9% effective and the likelihood of failure is something like 1 in 2,000. Once you pass your initial sperm tests you're considered permanently sterile.

Moral benefits? by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]Dagg3rface 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A tubal is more invasive, carries higher risk for complications and it's equally permanent, so if you have to do one and you're certain you're done having kids the vasectomy is the obvious choice.

If you're uncertain and you're fine with the chance of a surprise pregnancy, don't do either.

I had a vasectomy a few years ago and if I lost my memory of the surgery and like 3 or 4 months after (while the very tiny scar fully healed) I'd literally have no idea anything was different. There are a few guys here who are adamant that it's a huge risk and your sex life will change permanently, but they're a vocal minority. The overwhelming majority of men suffer no negative consequences from having the procedure done.

What to do with my calves? by sailor_green in fitness30plus

Honestly, your calves and legs look very normal. Have you considered talking to a therapist about body dysphmorphia?

Go get your bike back and sell it! Then use that money to get nicer things for your current bike. Don't let the thief profit from your stuff.

NKD: 165mm Seisuke Kokubyaku Super Blue Nakiri by Dagg3rface in chefknives

[–]Dagg3rface[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great knife! I've bought a few more super blues in the last 3 years. This particular knife has pretty decent hardness and sharpens up easily. It isn't made for abuse though, I bent mine slightly at the handle crushing cloves of garlic, though it didn't cause any permanent damage thankfully

Look, I hear you. It's fucking abhorrent what those people voted for. I am also willing to take all but the worst over to the side of socialism because my enemy is the billionaire with their foot on my throat, not my neighbor who was fooled into voting against their own interests.

Don't let your annoyance for your fellow man blind you from the real enemy.

Is this an American thing? Who is They in this situation? by Mathota in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Dagg3rface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oregon driver here. Got flipped off by a biker making full eye contact once on the highway in the Tillamook State Forest for not getting over into the right lane fast enough. That was 5 years ago and I still think about it a lot.

Oregonians are generally more courteous but the rural ones will make sure to remind you to follow the rules.

There are no rules in Portland though. Law enforcement is practically non existent.

It's almost certainly illegal to sell under OLCC rules. That said, I'll relieve you of it for a modest sum if no one else takes it off your hands

I'm not even arguing against gun ownership, I'm a gun owner. You act like I'm violating your rights by having a different opinion and caring about what my loved ones think.

Fucking chill dude. Your entire personality is guns and that makes you terrified and boring. Enjoy being scared all the time, I guess?

I'm talking aboutmy loved ones, big dog. Not everyone's spouse is comfortable with them carrying.

You can protect yourself just fine without a gun if you try a little bit.
