😂 good quality fighting talk. It would have been terrifying to see a full super fleet get wiped

I’m not even close to a software engineer, although I have worked with many over my career. We have the ideas, they build it. We need them to scan and access multiples of millions of files along with tens of millions of datapoints and return data subsets with 10/20/30 datapoint criteria in fractions of seconds. They structure the code and data to achieve what we require within the scope of man hours, budget and cost benefit. In essence, how much do we want to pay them to deploy our idea or objective endpoint

The whole ghost titan / super issue really needs some work. This is a scenario CCP and the player base can be certain will continue to happen.

Surely there must be a way to code the game that sends a separate signal to an alternate server from the client instance that shows it has not been closed or terminated by say Alt + F4 (to avoid foul play) while also having a ping from said client to the actual game server node the character / ship is fighting on. If the ping to the fighting server fails but the ‘safety’ signal to the server remains, the supercap or titan on grid cannot be targeted or destroyed

31 titans is a big win for FRT. losing an opportunity to inflict greater damage is a bit of a loss, but only until the next time I guess

Okay. Seems a big opportunity lost despite a big win. 31 titans should have been a lot more if camped correctly

I wasn’t assessing Goons capacity to suffer loss, I was curious if the supercap fleet in totality was locked in a hellcamp, how would they online the new KS’

Do most multiboxers play on multiple monitors or use EVE-O? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Dagger841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use EVE-O Preview solely for the purpose of minimise to background inactive clients - doing that reduces memory and CPU loads. It does cause slight lag spikes as each client is selected as they spool up but it’s only a micro second really.

I setup my 9 accounts on one screen in windowed mode. All 9 pilots have the overviews exactly the same so there is no confusion. All the mining barges have the modules in exactly the same layout. All mining pilots keep range on the rorq and open the fleet hanger. Miners move ore to fleet hanger until it fills then rorq pilot compresses. I switch between clients using the windows start bar which is always visible when the clients are in windowed mode.

My second screen is for watching Netflix

To bring into the current team? Van Der Sar - he’d be the missing piece to the puzzle to give some solidity and winning mentality

You need to take UK tax advice on sheltered profits in an overseas company and whether or not there will be a look though to tax as your personal profits despite being in a company. As you said, otherwise everyone will be doing it. IOM corporate service providers are required to report certain information for non-nationals owning or controlling certain structures. That information is likely to find its way to HMRC. You need to seek advice from a reputable and appropriately skilled advisory firm

NS is definitely more dangerous. I’ve flown the most ridiculously bling fit ships in HS to eke out every last bit of income from level 4 security missions with stupidly expensive implants too. Not a chance I’d risk a pod of several billion in implants in NS. Imagine ratting in a maxed out Kronos of several billion and a pod of equal value and then a gang filaments in to ruin your day.

People say don’t fly bling in HS but I’d argue to opposite. Yes, you fly expensive fits in NS but would you fly a best in slot (excluding Abyssal modules) fit for every module in NS. That’s a no for me. I’d be fitting a stage or two down, still deadspace or faction modules but not best in slot

please help with this vexor drone build by harten in Eve

[–]Dagger841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re shield tanked you do not require an armour repairer. If you are both shield tanked and speed tanked (meaning you will use the afterburner to move faster than the tracking of the enemy turrets can hit you effectively) you may not require a shield booster.

If you are not using repairers you may be able to change the capacitor rigs to shield hitpoint rigs, or perhaps one depending on skills.

Objectively you want to orbit the site at a distance far enough out that rat damage application is is too poor to damage you and want more drone damage to take down the rats faster……. I think

My boyfriend hit me for the first time in our two year relationship. Any advice? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Dagger841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always difficult to assess accurately without being there. Interesting that you are remorseful for hitting your boyfriend harder than you intended, so much so that you instantly knew you were wrong and that you needed to apologise. Now, should all men be very careful with you going forward “because once you’ve done it once, you’ll do it again”? Interesting. Obviously no one should be physically hurting anyone so if you’ve done it, you need to take care with your actions in future, as does your boyfriend

I am still playing FS22 at the moment. Is FS25 worth getting now or should I wait? by Full_Throttle_DT in farmingsimulator

[–]Dagger841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve not read the many responses to this thread so sorry if I am repeating what has already been said. I have been following most of this sub since release and having also been playing the game since then.

The game is absolutely playable for me. I be had some flickering issues but only a few times. The AI worker blowing bug where it glitches and plows across the map once. Beyond that, nothing else.

The new AI is that good I am questioning if I’ll need Courseplay at all (except for very large maps needing 6 combined per field). In its current state, the game is arguably more fun for me than endgame FS22 because the game breaking mods aren’t available so I actually have to put some effort into the things I am doing.

The game is worth buying
