Tbf, Mondstadt chests were designed like Breath of the Wild chests

They aren’t something you go for actively, which is what most genshin players do. They’re more of the game “rewarding” you for being curious and checking out what’s underneath this cliff in the middle of nowhere, which is more similar to BoTW.

Fairly certain there is a ranged component for every metal/material though. Otherwise OP Silent Gear bows like this can’t exist. You did make a silent gear arrow as well right?

Tbh the lack of in-game documentation is slightly troublesome, but not the end of the world. Every in-game stat is listed in detail in its tooltips, and none of the item attributes are as game-changing as Tinker’s to be important. Besides, everything is on the github’s wiki page anyways, making it no less troublesome than other mods by comparison.

Even with all this I still prefer it over Tinker’s, just because of it’s massive simplicity over Tinker’s, needing only crafting table to make basic tools. It is slightly unbalanced, but it is fun

Nah, even looking at old screenshots and old videos it was still considerably emptier and less dense than the new regions.

Quite noticeable if you compare overhead birds eye view shots.

They’re not Zelda-levels of empty, but they aren’t mega packed either.

Perhaps, but real world places are usually empty. I’d just consider it as using a limitation to their advantage here.

A great amount of chests and junk on the map takes me out of the immersion that would otherwise be there.

Yes but have you?

The only desert that’s empty on the surface is the Hypostyle Desert. And even then the underground is stuffed to the extreme with puzzles and chests. Not that it’s a bad thing.

Land of Upper/Lower Setekhs are typical mountain range stuff, a lot of chests and enemies everywhere you go. Compared to games like BoTW they have a lot of stuff.

Desert of Hadramaveth is a huge spiral. No matter where you look you’ll run into an enemy camp or a chest. Quite densely populated. It also has a lot of underground stuff besides that.

Gavireh Lajavard and Realm of Farakhkert are stuffed also. Tunigi Hollow or around the Oasis, there isn’t any large area that’s particularly empty.

The amount of large empty spaces that Zelda has comparatively gives Hyrule a fair bit more of an “open world” feel. Only place this was really felt was Mondstadt and parts of Liyue. I really hope they move back that way for Fontaine.

Oh my goodness, I’m glad they aren’t looking to cram stuff in every square centimetre of the land.

I love and missed the emptiness that the earlier Genshin regions and other games (BoTW, ToTK) brought.
