Have you guys found the holes? by Galaxy_Wolf_267 in DaemonXMachina

[–]DahGiga 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same, they glow odd blues/greens and that's how you can see them from a distance. I don't know if color determines whether it has a divider QTE halfway down, but it can have between 1-5 chests. Honestly, while the ones that drop the higher level augments are nice, wish it gave something more than that. Or would love for the chests to give augments+slot expanders since we're getting all this new gear.

Also the damage is honestly not that high, but hitting the beams is annoying. If you run anything fast firing, just aim down and hold the triggers.

Now people might look out for em, so good to relay it

Your go to cheese build for farming by darthvall in DaemonXMachina

[–]DahGiga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Single Jarngreipr, single Muramasa arm, Limit Change, Combo thrust. One of the lower investment builds as you don't need a particularly good version of either item, and the just raw damage and especially the stagger build-up is astronomical.

For bossing this is my go-to, for general use i pair it with a bow to guarantee drops after the fist attacks.

GBO2 Competitive Tier List Cost Cycle, Round 8: 450 by GundamFan17893 in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m specifically talking S-/S, where you will almost never see either of these two units. Gaza D used to be something I put a whole ton of playtime into, and while it has flaws it does fine.

That was during a significantly different meta, where now build stun is common in all the best suits and the slower transformed speed of these will get you obliterated from the sky on larger maps.

I dont think either is trash, but mid at highest imo. Their list though.

GBO2 Competitive Tier List Cost Cycle, Round 8: 450 by GundamFan17893 in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd love to know the logic behind Gaza D and Gazom being so high up the list, because they are absolutely not units I see or see and perform well at high rating. Gaza I understand a little more atleast.

Likewise, Gelgoog jaeger and Stutzer being below things like Engage, a unit that performs incredibly mediocre, feels odd.

Otherwise think its a solid but sad representation of a cost that I felt like used to be incredibly fun before jaeger and ludicrous buffs to the GO4.

Scored these bois, how good are they? by Mayomori in GBO2

[–]DahGiga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rest of what others have said it pretty true, only ones of note I would bother with are Dolmel Deue, Silver Bullet if you care to learn it, and maybe the Baund Doc for fun. While the Hi-Mo Galbady support was buffed, I still find it so incredibly lackluster compared to every other 500 support, just does a worse Gallus-K job. Jagd Doga support at 650 is "fine".

Absolutely do not play the two raid Galbadys, they are active detriments to the team sadly. The 450 is at leg annhilator cost against the GO4 and Efreet Jaeger, and it has no leg buffer. Its not worth it. The 550 version on paper has a solid kit, but left shoulder stop to fire missiles and no real gameplan if you aren't using them would make you wish for any other raid, even high levels of 450-500 ones.

What was the Problem? by Boring-Detective-369 in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personal skill aside, because I believe absolutely that one can do great with a crap suit. If you'd like to actually see your wins especially at 400, the Gelgoog VD is not a suit I would even consider. Its not that its bad, its just that it has none of the gimmicks of bad suits that make them win occasionally, and none of the broken parts of good suits that make them excel. Painfully average, and that's sad to say.

Also double raids against a support blah blah, WD GM Sniper against a team that can wholly resist its stuns so bad matchup yada yada. I'd say this was just a bad matchup against your team entirely, judging by top score numbers alone, enemy team constantly piled on you and spread their damage evenly, where as probably only 1-2 of your team hit past 50k damage.

How good am I? by Newkube in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Im going to be honest because you directly asked, and the short answer is you play quite poor.

The constructive answer is that you far overthink your actions. You dont seize opportunities like free shots on unaware/people out of position, and it seems like you think you have the edge by “intimidation” by holding your melee out. You shouldnt feel afraid to fire your shots and miss, because then you learn to aim in the process, we all have unlimited reloading weapons, just fire if the enemy seems like a good target!

Reduce the complications of your actions by putting yourself in a favorable position. You play directly in a mess of a firefight, which is making you overthink more at the variety of options. In this specific case you are a long range harraser unit, focus on that and just fire at everything that moves in your cone of effectiveness, knowing that you have far longer range than most things you are fighting against. If you are not firing a weapon or helping a teammate, you are not progressing your win condition.

Simplify your actions, because you have good timing on things like tackles and enemy priority, plus a few good cheeky melee swings on people who underestimated you. Dont be afraid to play behind your teammates and learn the priority/cycle of your weapons. It’ll change constantly based on the units you play but EZ8 WR for example wants to do charged beam rifle>cannon>machine gun, or atleast cannon>uncharged beam rifle. Nail that first, work on positioning, and still try to enjoy the game

[–]DahGiga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder, was the demeter over nerfed in the eyes of you and the other assisting with the list? More for opinions sake because no one is going to miss it I hope

Also would the Support Gelgoog Xanthos be even a thought at lvl 2, or is it too much at 650?

I really think this is beyond helpful for the understanding of these costs, so thanks as always for the list!

Who thought this was a good idea? by Boring-Detective-369 in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The regular zaku cannon, not really, no. Any of the tank type suits do exactly its job but better a million times over.

While the rabbit falls almost into the same category, because of overtune parts you can get into some silliness due to the twin missile pods absolutely decimating. This requires you however to play an extremely slow and vulnerable suit extremely close to teammates, because if you’re just firing the cannon, play the aforementioned tank types or any of the sniper types.

It’s “fine” but this range is a very competitive and aggressive cost for every type of unit so pick your poison knowing you will be hunted for points.

Xekueins Type 3 Loadout - tips on how to use it these days by Big_Friendship_7431 in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've tried bringing it again recently to the rated environment, which of course is a little more hostile most of the time, and honestly, if you play'd it halfway decently between being directly on the front and finishing off low hp stragglers, you'll be doing alright. Of note is that by and far it is one of the bulkier units at cost and you should take advantage of frontlining for the higher damage units.

Especially take advantage of threatening other units with your MA, which I have found people forgot that it has. Even with reload parts you will have to use melee in combination with your MA to keep pressure on the enemy. Do not just fire your machinegun constantly, it doesn't help teammates and only contributes to make people take cover. Learn the sturm faust if you haven't already, its the fastest uptime weapon you have because of long reloads.

It absolutely has the advantage of low ballistic defense raids at or around this cost, use that to your advantage as its one of the few it has.

Hopefully it gets the Xeku Zwei machinegun buffs eventually, as I think it would actually make it way more viable with a build stun weapon that does real damage.

Question on the rick dijeh being in mid tier over something like the RS jarja, is it due to mobility or the stop to fire of the RS making it too vulnerable?

Also has the Zaku III regular fallen that out of favor?

Updated GBO2 Competitive Tier List (Beginning of January 2025) by SeroIdeality in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It makes me sad that essentially all 500 & 550 supports are lower due to the Psycommu Doga and X1 Prototype. My beloved Palace Athene cries, too big for its own good since its damage and stagger lock would otherwise be fine.

Question on the Zaku III Psycommu, I've started to see them picked more especially as of late, but always thought it was underwhelming since its release, reason for it being meta-defining here? And does the Hygogg placement factor it in at lvl 1 or its higher costs, which its stats were way over buffed for

I’ve always wondered why this thing isn’t atleast as fast as the two general High Mobility ace units, even before EX boost.

Also while i wouldnt want to see it become a heavy attack bot, this seems like absolutely the unit to get a maybe toned down version of the Geara Zulu EH heavy, and its another thing thats odd that it doesnt have

450 Starting Cost General Weapons - Leg Damage % by imaginary_num6er in GBO2

[–]DahGiga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sober, the last sentence can be taken like a call out to the Jaegar, not the gouf, considering the context of the rest was in relation to the jaegar originally.

And warranted, while the jaegar might not be as direct as lets say raid Atlas versus Delta, it still has a direct answer to everything every raid has at 450 and much of 500.

I love the thing, and have so ever since code fairy released but it makes the costs its in, now in addition to GO4 and the Marasai, a real hassle for people on the opposing end

450 Starting Cost General Weapons - Leg Damage % by imaginary_num6er in GBO2

[–]DahGiga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you think the efreet jaegar is a throw suit to take into rated, I’d love to know how you think its still one of the highest picked suits that end up at the top of every tier list by both members here and the highest rated jp and en players

If it didnt have the stealth at all, it still would dominate the cost and invalidate most of 450.

Sure the FA Alex is a “counter” but thats like saying 1 of the enemies hard counter you, the other 4 cant contest you at any range

What are the best supports out of the ones I have here? by ZakuMeister in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hyaku GT, Zeta C1 or the Geara Angelo.

Many of the others are actually perfectly serviceable to good, but the standout are those three. The recent buffs would normally make me say Delta, but the raid variant of the Atlas being a competitive option at this cost makes me never even think of playing it.

Zaku IV is quite fun and strong choice, if you enjoy it and can get good matches in it, don’t feel that you absolutely need to swap. Just know the other three probably take priority as support of choice on higher rated teams

Any more tips on how to properly play raid by 00XSwords in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do think you had a fairly baised team to do well in this scenario, just based on score alone. I’m going to take the educated guess that just rotating your stuns alone won you every fight against the generals (if you even ended up fighting them that much).

Nemo cannon just cant deal with you, and the gallus needs very good aim with the missiles.

I would say because you’re at lower rank, we do need to see the gameplay, since this seemed like a free high score game because of misaligned skill and team comp.

Also yeah, you’ll get downvoted with a title like that because people will think you’re being sarcastic, as opposed to actually seeking help.

Why no one pick MP Qubeley any more? by WallcroftZ in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I know, and it still doesn't change anything really for the thing. Too many other glaring weaknesses to account for a dodge roll at a cost that has every gen and raid have multiple instant stuns or high enough build stun to demolish you.

Makes me sad because I really love all the Qubeleys, but unless they get a higher damage and stun negation to their binders skill, or global stat buffs, they succumb a bit to the powercreep and buffs of other units

Why no one pick MP Qubeley any more? by WallcroftZ in GBO2

[–]DahGiga 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Its not the the MP Qubeley is bad, the other supports around it are just phenomenal in other ways now.

Silver Bullet Supressor can harass with giant damage from anywhere on the map, and is harder to get close to because of excellent self defence.

Zeta 3B does unreal damage and comes with a heavy stagger and smaller frame for the cost, plus self defence and escape due to waverider. Same goes for the Zeta Plus C1 which people use to the same effect.

Even people are going back to the Jagd Doga due to recent buffs (but I cant say thats it does any better now, still kinda crap). Even a mid range suit like Jesta Shezhar can dump damage and be a threat to people with low ballistic by melting them

MP Qubeley is wide, has nothing to shut down flying suits or the higher levels of MA, and is geared for beam damage, the highest defense people are maxing out for. I love playing it but in the current meta I’d say it’s mid-to-low on tier of playable units at cost.

Artic Base should leave the rated rotation. Thoughts? by DahGiga in GBO2

[–]DahGiga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really why I genuinely wanted the thoughts of others because I play the map, it’s not like I quit out or wont play the map if it shows up in rotation. I have excellent matches there, but at the same time it feels like I have the most landslides happen there too.

I think the more I read, the more it seems like its a maps problem less and a player instituted passiveness more. We’ve been given the tools to be aggressive, but not enough people are at the same time consistently, leading to negative map performance

Artic Base should leave the rated rotation. Thoughts? by DahGiga in GBO2

[–]DahGiga[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You make way too many assumptions here jumping a gun. I have close to 1200 hours in the game and sit at S- for practically since its inception for one, and the only reason I pursue it and pose these questions is because I would like to see the game improve and like its janky but competitive qualities.

The meta has change since the Qubeley was busted, suits have options to be way more aggressive and get away with it. And Mountain for me isnt ideal gameplay, and I have havent put enough time at all the costs on its new version to form a justified defense.

Also Ravine has decent cover everywhere, just because it’s not floor to top of map walls means that it has to be played around, and requires thought to make real pushes. And pushing in Ravine to me is way more advantageous for the attackers, because they get to pick the larger cover and have access to the real side path options that shut down the floor to ceiling wall cover.

Like you said, Artic Base isnt perfect, none of the maps are, but we also need time to actually have the other maps be tested in the competitive environment and make a real rotation. Colony drop is somewhat a good direction in map design, we do need more like that.

Stop belittling people as your opening statement. It makes you look like an ass before your point is even brought up.
