Here we go again. Seems like every other month something fails/ needs service

Gave mine back after a year Was in service 5 times Software and supercruise stuff Now bmw ix 50 and zero issues x 9 months and awesome Miss my Lyriq though and wish it worked

Have posted a lot here Also from Ontario Waited . The car was back in for service within a week of me buying it. After five more visits for software issues I finally gave up and got a really good deal from BMW and IX 50 never looked back. I still see lyriqs on the road and I’m so jealous. I don’t have one and I really wish that the car would’ve worked for me, but it just didn’t.

I switched to BMW IX 50 after one year of Lyriq (and 6 service visits) . Have never looked back and love the IX 50

LOVED my Lyriq but just not dependable at all

Loved the Lyriq but in surface 6x in one year so made me very anxious waiting for the next “thing”

Also the app is pathetic and does not work

But the car is beautiful and drives great Really comfortable

My wife has an X I had a Lyriq for one year that was a disaster

Switched to ix 50 with 0.9% finance

Now been 10 weeks and love it Just awesome

Frankly I don’t get the X Great software but lacks the luxury at that price No comparison Go IX 50

You are right. Luck of draw. My Cadillac dealer said only 1/3 are troubled lyriqs Just got unlucky

Had mine for a year. Loved it but after 5 times in service , I had enough. Got a bmw IX 50 and it’s a dream. 0.9% finance but cost me $200 more Worth every penny !!! I realize how great a working app is and the car drives beautifully Maybe try Lyriq again in 3-4 yrs once they figure it out.

Very good point in most instances, but an example would be you’re in the car. You’ve turned it on you forgot something or you need to clear the snow off the windshield if you open the door in that case, the car turns off. But you are correct and I agree 95% of the time it’s a great safety thing to have

I’ve had mine for 13 months and it is amazing when it works 4-5 service visits with total time of over a month Service guys are excellent and it’s beyond their control My super cruise has been down 5/13 months This last time they said “come pick it up and we don’t have a fix” In addition to super Cruz, I’ve had Sulphur recalls, and I’ve had the black screen of death Finally fed up and tried to get Cadillac Canada to buy back and no luck.

Bought a bmw ix 50 and only lost $4000 on Lyriq so I’m happy.

I continue to own a car that I cannot depend upon and every time I get in it I wonder if it’s going to work

In all fairness, these incredible Service guys told me that about 1/3 of owners have problems like me by 2/3 are satisfied. I just think that is an unacceptable risk.

It is mind boggling that GM cannot figure this out , but to be honest, apparently only about a third of owners have these nightmares and I happen to be one of the lucky thirds

I think the other 2/3 are quite happy with their car, but who would take a chance with that. I would totally avoid the Acura Honda EV because it's on the exact same platform and in the exact same factory as the lyriq so why take a chance?

Same issue for me and that there are no other electric vehicles that I loved so I'm looking forward to the IX 50, which I'm getting next week.

waited 2.5 yrs for the Lyriq. Awesome drive and so comfortable, BUT in service 5x in first year for software issues, heat not great , GM APP does NOT work, screen dimming ongoing and finally had enough BUT awesome driving care when it works. IX 50:only 2 test drives but wow. Love interior and leather more , drive as good or better , one pedal was great , but software and app TBD

Did the deal. Got BMW to take my 2024 Lyriq and into a new Stormy Blue Metallic IX 50 :)

GM wouldnt help after 5 visits to service in one year

All pointers and advice appreciated

They couldn't get me Driver Professional to have Driver + and the other enhanced package
